N54 JB4 G5 Logs on Water & Meth need some insight.

Hello all, I have been running FBO for a while and decided to upgrade my meth tank to 2.5 Gal and up my meth nozzle to DO14 from a CM10.

Here is what happened with 100% water, then 100% meth. Car didn't like water too much started fluttering at idle.

All runs where all done on same day, same location within 40 mins.

I know Map 7 is for race gas but I decided to give it a try with the bigger nozzle and here is what happened.

Next I will be loading the BimmerBoost flash map with the BT cable and throwing some e85 60% 40% 91 and see what happens.

Why on earth would you run 100% water?

You must have been one quenching SOB.

With 91 octane my timing has always took a dip like that for some odd reason. Anyone else run into this issue using 91?

100% water is fine... IF the volume is small. More water, higher pressure in the cyl.

Those consistent timing dips is strange... maybe something in the ROM. Do some mildly tuned logs (with and w/o meth/water inj) and see if its still there.

doesn't AFR look a little high to you guys? could this be why the DME is pulling timing?

a csv would be alot easier to read for sure. so we knew exactly what AFR was at what boost PSI

DME doesn't seem to react with AFR typically, but possible. There is a torque factor based on AFR... calc torque increases with leaner mix (per the table name), so maybe a torque limit is reached causing a massive intervention.

that thing is crazy lean for well over 1000RPMs. something is very off. what firmware is that? it looks similar to what i was getting on ISO25. you need to email Terry these logs and get ISO26.

AFR seems to stay normal once it catches up and boost is around target.

when i was having this issue with the 135i I'm working on, it wasn't nearly as bad on Map 1 or 2. Those were almost normal. The issue was MAP 3 for some reason. ISO26 cleaned it up some. I'm going to take it out again tomorrow and do some logging.

Ok there something going on. Right around 3800-4000rpms that's when timing starts to get better but under that timing and power sucks.

here are my settings in the JB4 software is there anything off here?

yup, those logs look pretty terrible. I still think it's your AFR. I'm thinking car is pulling timing since it's leaning out. what map are these?

trims look fine. do you have autoclear turned off? make sure it's off next time you pull some logs just in case. I'm betting tune.
