Guys, this thread has created some strife and that was not my intention.

I simply wanted to get ideas for my build and see how to progress. It seems I have chosen my words poorly as some people are taking this in a negative way against Gintani which was not my intention. Alex is busy and I am busy and we simply haven't gotten a chance to talk. I thought this was as simple as I drop money in their account and it's done, that isn't the case. We are going to sit down and discuss everything as it seems I had a different idea and he had a different idea on how to progress. After I meet with him, I'll have some details to share, on everything, including the built motors.

This did not work out as I envisioned or intended, at all.

Whatever, let him if it makes him happy. I hope I provide the joy he is sorely missing in his old age.

It is certainly is interesting, but to his credit, he did reach out to try to help me with this.

Oh brother. Uh, the topic was the effects on the DCT of too many hard launches. Joseph's transmission is a perfect example of what can happen with too many hard launches. Please learn the difference between bagging on somebody and giving examples that involve somebody's name.

Correct. I recommended that you go to Van Dyne Engineering in Huntington Beach, CA. If you're limiting your choices to people with S65 motor building experience, unfortunately you're limiting yourself to very few companies. I would rather choose one of the best in the world, and not limit myself to magic numbers and letters like "S65." Van Dyne will be building my bottom end; Auto Talent will be assembling the top end.

Not just necessarily limiting myself to "S65" but perhaps it should be phrased people with the capability and experience of high end motor builds. That would be more along the lines of what I am looking for.

TKX is not bad, but they have been having some issues with my friends GT2 that they cant figure out. They are good at installing parts but i think when it comes to thinking outside the box at problems they are a bit limited.

its hard to find a good shop in NY here. I will admit Im not the best either and I want to be better...but I have fixed several cars from some well known shops in the area. For an S65 build I would choose someone else. Magnus Motorsports knows their stuff when it comes to Porsches but for the S65 im not so sure if they have any experience in building BMW engines.

As far as building an M30, that is easy work...why would you go to VAC for a simple build as that? There are several others out there who can build just as good for a better price. I would leave it up to VAC for some extreme builds like the N54 engines and what not
