    Trim removal is simple.

    1) Remove shift knob by pulling straight up with moderate force
    2) Remove boot by pulling up gently making sure you don't break any tabs
    3) Pull up on the trim piece from the edge. You may want to use a small flat head screw driver to get it going
    4) unclip any wiring harnesses that are attached if you have idrive or 6AT

Either way, it should be reading the same as far as the positive values since the scalars used are identical. The only difference you may be seeing would be vacuum at idle instead of those values being rounded/truncated.
My boost reads negative too at idle / no boost.

Yea, you guys are just seeing vacuum displayed on the monitor as well as boost now. No worries. Click here to enlarge

You should see negative numbers anytime you are idling or low throttle cruising.

I had it on my V2 as well. It's really not a big deal AT ALL.

Depends on what firmware you were running.

I've always run the most recent beta firmware. Anyway it would seem that the V3 is doing what it should so I'm happy. Nuff said.

Is there a specific way you removed the cigarette lighter?

Exactly what I did. I couldn't figure out how to get it without breaking anything.
