Slight update, I ended up sending my RS3's back to tire rack and got PSS's instead, the treadwear on the RS3's was going to kill me and they were too tall anyways. Looks like I joined the PSS club.

I ran a 295/30/19 Pzero which for a little while but it rubbed but a 295/30/19 PS2 did not. Funny how that works sometimes.

You must. My friend has these tires on his modded C230 coupe (SC pulley, suspension, brakes, slk55 AMG wheels) and it is extremely difficult to find the limits on the road. On the track they allow him to keep up with some pretty quick cars through the corners. Sold me on them.

I'll probably go with the exact same size as you although I doubt I'll be able to hook with a bit more hp. I'll probably be lengthening my gears as well.

Yea man, 800hp is going to need a DR or a R888, but then kiss milage good bye. I think the PSS is a great compromise if you need a sticky tire and don't want to replace them every few months

Mileage means nothing it's a tool of mass destruction anyway.

Basically, PSS for the street seems safest (never know when there is that bit of water) then whatever is best for competition. I'm kind of wanting to try a bias-ply.

R888, Nitto 555R or MT Street Radials are probably the ultimate "street" tires. The PSS' are great for someone who's a little more mileage conscious, but those 3 are all Race tires for the Street (vs. the PSS which is a very good street tire)

555R's are drag radials, not a good choice. they are OK, but the NT05 -not R- are much better street tires. for a DR, i would go with NT05R's

I doubt I will run a drag radial on the street.

I'll have my race and street tire/wheel setups.
