I had the brace cut and an arch section welded into the middle to allow it to clear over the VRSF exhaust.

Ditto for me on the positive review of the vrsf exhaust. I've put a couple thousand miles on it, it's loud when I want it to be and quiet when I need it to be. Even cold starts leaving the garage in the morning are more of a throaty deep tone than a neighborhood disrupting drone. The cross brace is useless, you'll never notice it's gone. My only concern is catching a v-band on a speedbump, but it hasn't actually happened yet...

I've scraped the v-bands a couple of times since my car is pretty low.. It's paintful to hear but not a big deal they just bend a bit

Definitely want a sound clip! This is one of the cheaper options that I am debating on getting. Either this or PE.

I want to hear the exhaust with stock DPs (as I have). Almost every video on youtube except 1 has aftermarket DPs. Do you have aftermarket DPs?

    Thumbs up

    This exhaust is freaking AWESOME.

I just got in from installing it and I am beyond impressed. There are some issues, which I will get into below.

First up: Compare to OEM. It is no surprise that over 40 lbs are saved just by looking at the picture. The OEM system is VERY heavy and the VRSF system is only one pipe.

I am going to miss my big brushed stainless Cyba tips…

The flanges are quite thick, and despite that, there is some weld distortion to the surface. I was concerned at first that I wouldn't be able to get a good seal, but after adjusting the FWD down pipe a little bit, everything sealed up nice. I should note that VRSF includes a thicker than average gasket, perhaps to ensure a good seal in case of misalignment.

There is a new hanger for the diff included - note how it is meant to tuck the exhaust up higher. Despite this, it still seems to hang lower than it should. I made sure the pipe hangers were parallel and even so, the whole system hangs below the body by about .75" to 1". Not an issue for me on the OEM sport suspension, but if you are lowered now I see that this would be a big issue. @Tiago@VRSF should address this.

Everything all buttoned up, I gotta say the V-bands are awesome and make for a MUCH less frustrating install. Everything fit perfectly with no issues at all, except for the aforementioned low hanging.

The tips are a nice polished stainless dual wall, but don't line up perfectly. They seem to be a bit wide for the cutouts. Coming from brushed 4" Cyba tips, I am not crazy about these so I will most likely start searching for remus style tips or perhaps get these powder coated black.

I managed to do the install in about 3 hours, taking my time and taking breaks to play with the puppy.

The sound: In one word, Exceptional.

The tone is just soooo damn perfect. It sounds refined, almost exotic, yet is quiet if you don't get on it. There is no drone at all. I don't know what other people consider drone, but my OEM exhaust droned like a mother-effer. It was annoying. The VRSF has NONE of this. Just pure sexy tone.

    No rasp.

    No drone.

    Perfection.

I could not be happier and am still in shock and awe about how incredible it sounds. The large
single 3.5" primary really makes for a unique note, while canceling out some of the annoying clicks, clangs, rasps, and other N54 noises. An added bonus is that I can actually hear my turbos now! With my OEM system there was too much drone and clicks, and you really couldn't hear spool up. That being said, if you are looking for something to be as loud as possible, this is definitely not for you.

I am currently rendering some videos, one of the OEM setup and one of the VRSF. I will post them as soon as they are ready!

Not sure.... when I was filming I thought it was the BOV but now watching the video I dono... Wastegates maybe? Whatever it is was def there on the OEM setup, you just couldn't hear it over all the rattles/pops/clangs/etc.

How your exhaust sits is no lower than mine. unfortunately I did break off a clamp going over a steep incline I knew I shouldn't have tried to go over. Youll scrape here and there but you should b good. Just b mindfull of steep inclines. Oh Im dropped on OEM Performance struts with Eibach Pros.

    Sounds great man!

I appreciate your posting the cons. The v-brace is the big one, as reducing he ground clearance with spacers on a lowered car with low hanging exhaust is a challenge.
    Change is constant

Made a quick 2nd gear video this morning. I don't have an external mic so it's proving difficult to get an accurate recording. Any suggestions? The wind noise was so loud the exhaust doesn't come through as loud as it is.

One suggestion is to mount a go-pro by the bumper.

I would say no decibel wise. But the tone and character is so different and refined. Cruising around loses the drone the OEM had so much quieter there.
