Looks good. I personally like the top mount. Once people start going past 67mm the comp covers get big and will not fit on a bottom mount.

May I recommend a flex joint between the downpipe and the exhaust? This engine will be making a lot of power and there will be considerable twisting and vibrational forces travelling across the entire car. I believe it will be highly beneficial to have a flex joint to help dampen those forces, especially when the manifold gets heated up over 1000F. Vibrations and twisting are not good for welds.

Alright guys, she is up and running! Only running 8 pounds right now off the wastegate. Will be dyno tuning it this weekend to see what she does with e85 alone.

Sounds really good, I haven't read the thread because I'm lazy, but what exhaust setup do you have? I feel like mine sounds a bit too raspy.

If you can leave black marks on a straight from the time you exit a corner till the time you brake for the next turn....... Then, you have enough horsepower.

Looking good, very fast progress, one more point that lends to the top mount argument is the no room for an air filter issue. Don't expect that turbo to last too long with a wide mesh screen on it. Thats more than big enough to let particles in that can damage a compressor wheel. Can't wait to see what you put down.

Mesh screen is just temporarily, I can most deff setup an intake in there. Going to be tight. And thank you I will be hitting the dyno this weekend.

How's the lag compared to the twins? Does it still pull at all between 2-3k rpms?

I would be very careful with how temproary that is, it only takes one little rock and your turbo is knocked out of balance, eats itself up, and you are spending another grand to replace it, we have run screens before out of necessity but we try to run a tighter mesh than that to keep the bigger stuff out. It def looks like its gonna be tight, but tight is the name of the game with the N54..Click here to enlarge

You are getting full boost almost a 1000 RPM's sooner than the FFTEC kit with the same turbo on it? I would have to see a log to believe that. Full boost by 3500 on that turbo really doesn't even seem possible. No offense, just based from my experience and what others have shown with that turbo, its hard to believe.

He is only hitting 8 psi, 3500 rpm seems reasonable.

In for dyno results. Would be nice to get some more examples of spool times and corresponding powers levels at rpm and psi.

$#@!, I didn't see that was 8 psi. Yes that's 100% doable, when I see the terns full boost I'm thinking 20PSI plus. Sorry about jumping the gun

For the intake filter: you can run a 90 degree boot from the turbo inlet, connect that to a 3 foot pipe and put the filter in the DV area.

Running in the 23-25psi range I tend to see full boost around 4500-4700. I honestly don't think I'd want it to spool any faster with this much power. Some brake boosting and then I stay in boost thru all the shifts.

Wow, at only 13 psi you took off right from the start. That is very impressive.
