My factory warranty is almost up. What should i have them check?
before my car got hit, i already had an appointment to go for an oil change and to have them replace my shifter because the paint is chipping and also to fix a loose piece of wood trim.
i had to cancel that appointment.
today, i got this notice that my warranty is about to expire. i may as well get the works. btw, i dont want to remove my JB3 and DCI if i dont have to and i also dont want to use my scan tool.
I have an extended warranty, but then its $50 per visit.
what else should i have them do?

i just got my car back from the body shop yesterday ( it took a while )
so i call to reschedule my appointment for the 3rd time and i couldn't get one by sept 25th
( the day my warranty ends according to the notice i received from BMWUSA )
so the service rep checks my info and says it doesn't end until Feb
so i guess im ok, but in the meantime im driving around like this
idk how this happened unless im leaking oil. i haven't seen any spots in the driveway

Took care of that.

I learned the hard way.

so even though i got that notice about my warranty ending soon, the service rep i made the appointment with checked and i still have it until Feb
they found an oil leak from a bad valve gasket. thats why ive been losing oil but haven't seen any spots in the driveway. it soaked my spark plug and they replaced all that.
also a loose piece of wood trim, my shifter knob, wiper blades, brake fluid, and i have to go back for a recall about a software upgrade.
that means i have to uninstall my JB3. i fessed up to the sales rep about that. he seemed cool and im glad i told him because he gave me some good info.
BMW's stealership is a good experience when you dont get a bill.
great coffee, bottled water and lots of good snacks. plenty of nice women around. tons of cars to look at (at BMW of Sarasota, theres a Lambo dealership on the lot). and they just give out rental cars or even a ride home ( pick up also )or a ride to get lunch or something.

which is great because i had to ship the scan tool i sold that day. also i'd have to get someone with a laptop to help me out.
he mentioned something about my tune being wiped out if they did the upgrade while its in there.
i don't understand that, but i have to uninstall it anyway.

someone in service has a bad day, and sees a airmass manipulation code... doesnt matter what the service manager told you, youre screwed.
it takes 30 seconds to clear the codes... if that's not worth your time and effort...

Im doing this service follow up survey
I want to have a good reply to this final question;
Does your BMW have any features that you feel could be improved by BMW Engineering and why?

Tell them to design a high pressure $#@! pump once and for all.
Tell them to $#@! themselves with it.Some people live long, meaningful lives.
Other people eat shit and die.
I'm not racist, I hate everybody equally; especially fat people.

If by software recall you mean the "implement lag here, de-tune turbos" fix, then yes, we do know of it.
