BB Flash - Read ECU to org file?

Hey guys, early 07 on I890S, just read my ECU with the BB Flash software. The file was created after 1 hour or so, but the file saved as a .org. Is this correct before loading into TunerPro? Does the "Validate File" option come into play?

It saves files as .org. They are the same as .bin. Load it up in TunerPro. Rock on.

Thank you sir. Just wanted to make sure I got a complete backup/read before trying anything.

Any issues using a i8A0S xdf on i890S bin?

Yes, that won't work at all. You'd have to upload an 18A0S BIN and then use the 18A0S XDF on that.

Thank you for the info, Terry. Are there I8A0S bins available for download? Or does it not work like that?

I've posted JB4 ones on n54tech as well as here. You can use one of those to play around.

Just to clarify Terry, I can upload a I8A0S bin on a I890S car? Sorry for the confusion.

What do others with an older/previous version do? Is it something that should be updated via dealership before attempting?

You'll have to ask them. We've done quite a few cars this way now though without issue. Worst case you flash back to the OEM file.

On a few of the DME versions they've had to disable a couple emission code flags to account for region to region differences. Fairly easy.

The alternative is to update the car to the latest at the dealer or using INPA. I know Wedge knows how to do that and may be able to help you.

Would love for Wedge to post a DIY (with disclaimers galore). When you say INPA, is the BT cable able to update software versions? Some of us are not lucky to have dealerships nearby and/or with good service reputations.

Disconnected the battery via ground a few times. Still in recovery mode. Voltage is at 12 with the charger and 85% charge. Am I missing anything?

Terry your tune that Z is loading will only work if he has JB4 installed right?
