This is exciting stuff. My only concern at this point is keeping the dealer from proving I have used a piggyback/flash. To that end, if all I want is a reliable bump on an N20 running 93 octane, should I get the stage 1 from BMS, or will flashing myself using the referenced software and BT cable give me the same bump plus some added functionality??

P.S. I have made 50+ maps for myself using COBB and the accessrace software on my RX8, so I feel comfortable making maps if the application is similar.

N20 is currently not supported by any flash tunes that I am aware of. From what I hear, the new DME's are locked down pretty good.

That sucks. I'd like to think the community/vendors will figure it out eventually.

I'm assuming that we can save the stock tune before loading the maps.
Therefore if we need to bring in our cars into the dealership, that we can just reload the stock tune onto the cars?

The BT cable really needs the ability to log all cylinders. With only cylinder 1, there is no way to do solid tuning maps.
Plus I'm not sure it has all the Cobb parameters which are really needed, like the MAF Req. (WGDC) and others.

Any plans to add all the required log parameters ?

If you want more why not just buy Cobb?

This really is not a good approach to tackle this problem.

PS: I do have Cobb and I like it. But I am interested in the Open Source stuff for Android/iOS portability reasons.

Why is it not a good approach? Because you have to pay money? So your suggestion is to work others for free to save you bucks rather than use an existing solution by a solid company offering solid support? Seriously?
