Killed mine with stock turbos that why I upgraded it. Stock trans wouldn't hold what I'm putting to it now. Car would not shift past 4th and most of the time would not get into 4th. For me it works great for now. Stage 3 turbos we'll see. I have driven it hard lately and trans. Hasnt missed a lick. Added a 3.5 bar sensor and turned the meth add. up and it shifts nicely. But still with no tcu upgrade it will eventually die like the rest.

I agree and furthermore most AT's blowing up were beat hard @ high HP/TQ w/o Alpina flash prior to mods. I would hope the Alpina makes the AT good for RB/VTT hybrids up to 500 or so WTQ/WHP, but no data yet.

What ever happened to the 517 build some were looking into?

Is this the one that died before the air strip event several months ago? That they said there was confusion between flywheel HP and WHP specs? I was hoping there was more done since then.

After a tune LSD and rear diff bushings (or a diff lockdown kit) are the best upgrade to this car IMHO putting all the power down is just as important as making the power, as well as making sure you go straight when you want to go straight Click here to enlarge I've had a 3.08 Wavetrac on my car, performed flawlessly for 2 years beating on it...then i went with taller gears (2.56) Quaife which also did great but I decided that 3.08 final drive is better for me and what I really want is just a taller 1st gear..the rest are perfect for a 6MT. Anyone interested here's a link to what we carry and can do with diffs (custom final drive ratios are available on request):

Wouldn't motor upgrades go hand in hand? This stock trans can't handle what the stock motor is capable of let alone a rebuilt, IMO, the trans upgrade is more important. Seems that most with turbo upgrades have trans issues, so doesn't make sense to make more power if you can't transfer it.

Im trying to pick and choose my battles. A set of studs is a lot easier to get together than a custom bell housing.

OK then, well finish up those studs cause a lot of are going to be needing a trans option lol.

Oh, and any plans on fueling upgrades to feed a rebuilt n54 beast and push it to potential?
