    BMS Flash + JB4 335i vs RENNtech DCT 335is (Rematch 3)

Well, what can I say, ya win some ya lose some, rematch after rematch the 335is kept getting pulled on by this BMS stack tune. Keep in mind the 335is in the vid is an 11s car and holds the best ET world record for the 335is @ 11.78, so to get pulled like that we might see a another world record on a 335i with stock turbos street trim FBO no weight reduction, no meth, no nitrous, no DRs. The driver just needs more practice on his launches in which he is diligently working on at PBIR. We might hook up again but this time on the track to compare rolls vs digs

The BMS flashed JB4 335is was running 19 PSI with some 12 degree timing. It was said from the driver his 12 degrees stayed flat lined through the entire pull. Not exactly sure, but definitely he was running 12 degree timing.

I will follow up with the BMS logs as soon as I get them, Hes been lazy to get them to me

your 116 mph car really stands no chance against a properly setup stacked car thats easily trapping 120... no surprises here, people have been telling you this for ages, lol...

your car would be even quicker in ET with more HP allowing you to pull up top as well very good down low... stack or go cobb lol

the 335 does seem strong but no record breaker lol

BuraQ once PTF improves the tuning for you I think you'll be right there. His car really isn't that fast. It did 117-118mph I think? You should easily be able to stay in front of him with your DCT. Just get it tuned already! Click here to enlarge

I've been trying to talk Pratik in to getting a meth kit but so far he is resisting. Maybe seeing your taillights one day will push him over the edge. Click here to enlarge

Agreed. My non DCT 6AT was trapping 119 on E45 and I have seen them make improvements to the tune trapping around 122. I haven't been back to the track since getting the new E45 revision but my butt dyno screams higher traps.

Jstang are you pro tune or bms flash? Either way lets get a run setup since you are trapping higher trap than me and see what happens I'm curious now =p

I went BMS backend flash like 3 months ago (07 E90 Auto) it fixed alot of problems that just could not be ironed out by PTF and I finally got impatient and just said screw it and decided to try a JB4 BMS flash with the Cobb and I am 100% happy I made the change.

Stutter/shutter between 3k-4k rpm is now a ting of the past, periodic 30FF codes gone when shifting from 4th gear to 5th, and real poor performance in 5th and 6th gear issues solved. I am now able to row through the gears and peg 160 on the speedometer easily and zero codes.

Now back to PTF they are great Jake worked extremely hard for me trying to fix my problems and the car did perform I did pull an 11.96 @ 117 with Cobb PTF tune but I had to many Grimlins with it that I mentioned above. This is just my experience with the tunes and observations with my car.

Overall performance is about the same just my car responds better overall with whatever the hell Terry does with his BMS backend flash.

Was your car remote or locally tuned? Also tuned via data logs or on a dyno?

I was tuned locally, but it was on the street and ~100+ it def took away from the quality of the 93 tune.

This is what i was going to say, or close to it.

in a roll racing you can figure that a 1mph difference in 1/4 trap is about a car length. 3-4 cars ahead after a 40-140 ish roll means the car should trap about 3-4 mph more

Ok. I was thinking that it was you that hit 11.76 at 120.7 at MIR with Jake at the end of last year. Or was it?

You're in West Palm? Where are you located at Zeel? I mean down here in Florida, at least at the track I go to no one seems to run the numbers they should but hey, that's right now in the summer when you're lucky to see 85* ambient temps below 70% humidity at best and that's late at night. Different story out west in dry air.

I'm in the DC area and the run I did was at capitol raceway in MD. We get negative DA here often in the cooler months.
@JStang you are thinking about my friend's 135i that Jake tuned. My ET was similar but higher trap with the bms/cobb stack.
