A supercharged M3 will pull on GTR's that haven't been massaged enough up top.

    Uhm........................

I LOVE BMW's. Anyone that knows me know this about me. I worked at both BMW and Nissan. I love Bimmers. End of story.

    But..........................

Someone please post a video of ANY E9x beating a stock GTR please. Especially from a dig. I'd love to watch it.

Heres a nice layoverof the 2 kits. Biggest difference is in the midrange where the Rotrex makes an additional 90whp. Thats huge. More boost at lower rpm. Surely I believe more peak power can be had from the vortech. Its a bigger blower through and through. But both are large enough to break the stock motor so the point is mute. The rotrex shines at 6-7psi all the way to redline. Both curves are atrocious IMO. But this is due to vanos moving around.

Easy to see that the Rotrex makes more power and boost down low where most engines live on a daily basis.

I can say that the tuning from Evolve kicks the sh*t out of the other car. Driveability is really where Evolve shines. End of story. They are dedicated to individually tune each car. Not a cookie cutter tune for every car. This is where I become, as a tuner, biased. I have yet to have 2 exact same setups want the same fuel and timing.

Especially from a dig obviously favors all wheel drive. But supercharged stock internal M3's trap over 130. A stock GTR isn't exactly hard to beat.

I've never seen a dyno curve like that from a supercharged M3.

Anyway, can we we get different colored lines for each kit?

wasnt there a huge variance on conditions between those runs.. like one kit dyno was done in cool dry, low DA air, and the other in hot humid 2k+ DA Click here to enlarge

I am actually impressed by how well the vortech kit did against the rotrex. perhaps the vortech driver was a bit more experiencedClick here to enlarge IMO evolves tuning abilities did not have any relations to the results in the race posted, but rather the type of supercharger used. kudos to them for using rotrex.

The tuning of evolve is really what people should see as a huge plus. I would never want to slap a cookie cutter tune and kit on my 60k+ m3. Tuning is everything, and drivability is sooo important . LM, I'd love to take a ride in your car so I can see the difference from my ride in it with the ess kit.

That doesn't make sense, you still need to tune for the blower.

There were HUGE differences in conditions. However I did use the SAE correction factor in both runs for a better comparison.

Yep this is the point I tried to highlight.
Thicker line vortech. Thinner is rotrex. I'm sure I can change the colors if you really need me too.

As for the dyno curve, I don't like too much smoothing at all. With alot of smoothing the curve would be flawless. But thats not really whats happening. This is what they did non less non more.

Oh. Wait..... Its not a dynojetClick here to enlarge

Anyone else notice the ess car shifts right at the start? Perhaps an early shift induced by tire slip?

shifts at the start? what timestamp? i see that one car makes more power earlier and smoother and pulls away hard when it shifts.. but nothing to indicate a bad run..

i mean, I have a potent combination on my car-
an Evolve boosted S65 with early and smooth boost, a Defiv Lockdown kit that produces firm strong shifts every-time, and nice 18" lightweight wheels.. I did more with a 6psi ESS 550 kit than most do with an ESS 600, and this Evolve 6 PSI kit just rapes it in every comparison. there's nothing wrong with an honorable loss Click here to enlarge
