Looks great, will something like this facilitate on the fly map switching and/or bring additional features? Here is to hoping I don't lose too much on the upgrade, otherwise I may keep the v2 which gets the job done!

@Josh@Cobb, have you guys ever thought about selling an OBD cable that has the wire on the side of the connector? Maybe as an accessory? I think many would find it useful when you mount it up:

And one day, Cobb will support multiple platforms from the same hand held.

Sick of having 3 APs to keep track of.

Why do you have 3 AP's?

I wonder if it could be made to support all their platforms from 1.

Hi. Looks cool and as a gadget I want one so its great there's an upgrade path. But does it at its core purpose, performance tuning, have different *capability* compared to v1? E.g. have you found room in ECU for those running features everyone always asks for, map switching and LC)

In other words is this predominately a GUI and logging upgrade? Asking as someone who is content with v1 logging and GUI and android Torque app for gauges.

    Thank you
    Chris

Still marketing three Subaru v3 access ports. IDK if that is relevant here or if there's connectivity differences.

I actually have a cable like that permanently plugged into the OBD port and routed under the kick panel/sill plate to relocate the port next to the driver seat.

In the modern time we don't have a separate device for each application. Phone, browser, email, home entertainment, tuning, navigation, dropbox etc.... all with one device that has more memory, faster processor and better display than any of the one trick ponies.

I guess I'm in the minority with liking my tuning hardware being completely separate. I'm not knocking the idea or anything, I just want whatever I use to tune with to be 100% dedicated for that purpose.

I agree. I now have multiple docks in my car (AP, phone, etc). Having an app makes it so much simpler. VIN lock via software, but save all the hardware costs.
