Interior/Exterior works is finished. It's time to engine and transmission tune.
A have AT transmission and firstly I must swap it on DCT From 335IS.
Unfortunately N54 DCT Trans don't have cooling system ( like S65 m3 ), but otherwise they same.
I will do custom cooling system for solve this limitation.
Both transmissions is GS7D36SG. It have same clutch, ECU management GS40 and mechatronics. I will be use sspperformance
16 Plate Clutch Upgrade for gain traction.

Well, for swap i must fully replace: Transmission, rear differential 2.56, flywheel, the rear drive shaft, gear shifting, wires.
Also I must encode and reflash my MSD80 ECU ( ZUB# From ISTA is 7628448 7628446 7628422 ), GS40 ( ZUB# From ISTA is 7596760 ) and add FA $2TC in CAS and NFRM modules.
I found some used ( about 18k miles ) parts for swap. Other Parts I bought new.
    12 51 7 581 112 - wires
    83 22 2 147 477 - DCT Oil 8l.
    51 16 9 141 518 - Cover center console
    61 31 9 133 067 and 61 31 9 213 647 - gear selector
    61 31 9 192 483 - park system for DCT
    61 31 9 213 647 - Sport button.
sorry guys for my english, I am from Russia.

Why didn't you swap a N54 into an M3? Would probably have been easier Click here to enlarge

How will you handle the programming for the DCT swap?

have to agree with the m3 badging. it's kind of ricey. badging it as something it's not...

Otherwise the car looks insane and major props to doing it yourself! Definitely a sick car.

Absolutely awesome...just awesome. idc about the badging, to me //M just means bmw performance which this obviously is. not a fan of the wing, but I get it's a track car thing and that's the look you want. M3 CF spoiler would probably look better, but damn that car is ridiculous! WELL DONE!!

Good to see your car again:-) I realy love those custom leather upholstery and respraying.

I also have the ssp 16 plate clucth pack, but i am a little bit hesitant to swap out my factory clucth pack. Anyway, please do it on your DCT and have some experiences.
Please be note, that after the DCT oil refill and clucth pack installlation you should clear the DCT adaptation and run a "LEARN" diag prog on it.

Retrofitting the DCT into an AT car is simple, just few coding and software upgrade.

Can you reflash the Transmission ECU as well with custom made TCU software?

    Laszlo

    i just love the interior!

i mean... i'm not a huge fan of how bright it is (darker interiors ftw imo) - but a nicely retrimmed interior is just plain COOL to me.

Thank you Laszlo. About coding you rights, its simple. But a lot of works with wires. I spend a lot of time in WDS, to find proper diagram scheme for DCT Trans.
About reflash the Transmission ECU with custom made TCU software. Unfortunately I can operate only stock ISTA database and can't do any custom flash for DCT trans Click here to enlarge

I actually really like the color. Interior is a bit much for me but definitely respect this build.
