Red face Moving to the Darkside.. My switch to HPF

    Like the title says..

The Lime Green machine is going HPF Stage 2.5.. maybe Stage 3.. but definitely Stage 2.5. I wanted to be one of the guinea pigs for the new Stage 4 but thanks to my wife's over budget backyard remodel I must scale back my horsepower ambitions.

Calling Branden tomorrow to get things rolling. This will be my thread documenting the switch etc...

So first group topic.. Should I get the intake painted lime green ??? Click here to enlarge

Yes paint it green. I got mine painted Phoenix yellow. Good choice on the switch. You'll never look back.

Congrats on the switch! My dad and I saw your car at MFest and our comment was, "this car is perfect, but I just wish it was an HPF." Click here to enlarge

If you saw the car at Mfest.. then you saw it with the hideous Orange interior. It was a failed experiment of epic proportions lol..

The car now has a very attractive and subtle two tone charcoal and black interior.

Nice, charcoal is a great match for that green. I still liked how you did custom work to the interior, even though it was orange. I read your build up thread on the car and was impressed.

    Yes, paint it green.

I have to say, I'm surprised, you are moving on this quickly. Congratulations! The Stage 2.5 vs. 3 decision is going to be interesting to see. I think if I were you I would go with 3, you don't plan to track right?

if your going 2.5, and you want more HP since your considering stg 4, might as well get it to 3 while its there the first time, yes?

Ah! Sorry for the accident...Kwan ran over an armadillo last year, went through the front fog mesh and it shot out from the undercarriage cover...

What was the primary reason for the switch to HPF? Congrats!

We hit one of these "gators" on the way to MFest II in the E92 M3. It ended up puncturing the oil cooler and pouring oil all over the freeway and the widebody Laguna Seca stage 2 from Washington (forget the owner's name at the moment) who was driving behind us. We ended up at MFest in a Hyundai Sonata.

For now I'm replacing it with an OEM bumper and having it painted lime green. I'm not sure what kind of spoiler I'll go with. I've looked around and my personal favorite is still the Vorts GTS3, same one that was on it before.

I would have ordered a Euro bumper but I was told three weeks minimum, maybe six weeks.. that's too long for me. I don't have a problem painting the reflectors, it's not a big deal to me.

Everything has been ordered to put the car back together. I'm hoping to be heading to HPF in two weeks time.
