    BMW Performance 850Watt radiator fan

    We use 850Watt BMW Performance Radiator fan. We should fabricate the frame a little bit due to the piping.

    I'm really getting confused now, we managed to squeeze 2 GTX's in there with everything that goes along with it and only had to move the pump about an inch forward, you are redoing in the entire cooling system why? To support the 500 WHP you guys plan on running. I'm not hating here, I am honestly trying to grasp why you are going through all this work for those numbers. Do you plan on showing this car, or has it just snowballed to this point?

    There are mainly three reasons, why we redisign the piping of the coolant water systems:

    - we relocated the water pump
    - we relocated the water coolant house to the driver side - see picture
    - due to the heavy turbo and intercooler piping

    No upgrade in the coolant sytems, just repiping and relocation. We uses the factory water radiator and heat exchanger.

    Custom made air filtering

    We finalized the position and piping of the air filter. We used flex pipes as well with strenghtened end.

    Custom made exhaust systems

    As we have completly new downpipes we have to redisign our previous custom made exhaust system. There is also an X-pipe, two HJS (euro5) 200 CELL sport cats, etc. Once we finished with the exhaust system, it will be recoating with ceramic.
    We use 63.5/60.5mm pipes.

    why 2.5"? even stock turbos have been shown massive power increase and spool with 3"/76.2mm downpipes?

    also, how come your water thermostat is plastic? the one i have is aluminium.. older or newer part?

    It's enough and still efficient at my system.

    Is there any gain from 3" downpipes? Since most of them taper down to 2.36" of the stock exhaust system.
    Even the M5 does not seem to need 2x 3".

    This is obviously being envisioned as more of a road course/road car and less of a drag/dyno/roll-race car. To do those activities you need responsive turbos.

    Different setups for different purpose and that is "ok."

    Would make sense, except the turbos they are using are also an option for our stage 3 kit and the response would be the same, and again we had to the move the water pump 1 inch forward, not to mention kept the factory motor mount location intact. I get a road race set up would require some work to the oil cooling system, but when has the water cooling system shown to be a problem? My question still stands and again not hating, just curious, why redo the entire cooling system?

    As I have replied earlier we do not redo the entire water cooling system, just relocate the water pump and relocate the water coolant house and thus new position needs some refitting at some water connections and pipes. This is more than a refitting than a redo, as no more water cooling capacity or efficent has added to the system, except the 850W BMW Performance fun, which replaced the factory (600W or 650W?) fun.

    We delete the factory oil cooler as we need space to the air filter and therefore we have installed a larger (than fatcory) oil cooler on the driver side.

    there's quite a lot of dyno's going from stock to 2.5" catless and then 3" catless with spool and power being improved most by the 3"

    even though it's only 3" for a foot or so, that's long enough apparently lol.

    fair enough... i'd still lay money down on 3" showing spool and power gains for you... if it did it on the stock turbos, it'd have to on the GT25's...

    I only know the dynos numbers of Mr5, those indicate a gain of 1-2 %... you talked about "massive gains"?

    Finalizing our exhaust system

    Need some welding, 4 O2 bungs, 2 EGT bungs and fine tune, but we are over the harder part of it. Will be ceramic coated once we are ready.
