    2015 F26 X4 spyphotos / pictures

The BMW X4 is coming as the F26 X4 Concept which debuted at the Shanghai auto show a little over two months ago told the world. What we have now are spyphotos of the 2015 X4 testing and its proportions and design seem to be very similar to the concept shown. Other than the rear bumper exhaust setup and the front bumper the production car will likely be very similar. Will BMW repeat its X6 success taking the idea downscale? More than likely with Americans hunger for SUV's and crossovers.

The X4 will share the X3 wheelbase and basically be the exact same thing except with different body work. As the X6 is to the X5 so will the X4 be to the X3. BMW is going to milk the coupe-suv-crossover segment it created to the maximum and rightfully so. The X4 has the potential to be the best driving SUV of the BMW bunch if anyone still cares about the Ultimate Driving Machine aspect at BMW these days.

Expect a 240 horsepower X4 xDrive28i with the N20 four-cylinder motor and a ~300 horsepower X4 xDrive35i with the N55 inline-6. What about an X4 M? It has not been spotted testing yet but a model with the upcoming M3/M4's drivetrain sure would be interesting.

I would hope so. The X6 got it later but BMW should have learned its lesson.

Looks very close to the current F25 X3 and less like the prototype in my book!

How can you say that once you see the side profile?

Let's see what the final product looks like. The X6 is successful and this will be as well.
