2014 BMW M6 (record?) vs 335i FBO
On Wednesday I happened to follow a brand new M6 into the local Test n Tune at Lucas Oil Raceway. Fortunately we lined up on the first run, so I decided to stick my iPhone in the headrest just to get a quick video of the run. It was our first run down the track of the night, and his first ever in the car, which he said was stock. It still had the temporary plates.
I got him on the launch and ran 12.15 @ 117.36, but he came flying by and just got me at 11.78 @ 121.81.

He needs around 1200miles on the car to use launch control to cripple it until break in. but he can have it removed around 800 miles I have seen some guys get it done.

Easily an 11.2 car, wow.
Jeez just imagine this car with fall/spring outside temps and better track prep. A 1.80 60ft would probably yield a 11.40's@124+Alpha ///N - YouTube: 95CSL

Bolt on E92 335i versus the F13 M6 a the 1/4 mile drag strip - New M6 shows some strength
We have seen comparison videos before showing the M6 versus the M5 and that the M6 is the quicker car out of the two due to its lower curb weight. Well, now we have a timeslip with some real data to confirm that the M6 is indeed faster. BimmerBoost member AWil335i lined up with the new M6 at the drag strip with his bolt on modified 335 and thankfully recorded the encounter. Great run for him with a email@example.com but the M6 just powers past up top with its firstname.lastname@example.org.
The M6 ran even quicker and faster later in the day with a email@example.com. Considering the videos posted of the M6 beating up on the M5 rather substantially the numbers add up. The M6 has approximately ~3 miles per hour of trap speed on the M5. Yes, this is a significant difference.
Thank you to @AWil335i for the video, great run and much respect for posting despite a loss. Not everyone does that these days. And way to rip the M6 out of the hole!

M6 is indeed a beast. There's a guy in town that just broke his in. He previously had a dct supercharged e90 m3 and definitely knew what he was doing behind the wheel. He is supposed to be bringing the new M6 down to the track this weekend. I will definitely record it if he does.
