I respect the m3 tremendously, but in a straight line a fbo 335i is faster than a stock m3. 6mt, dct, xyz, lmnop, whatever. I've raced 5+ local e9x m3's from stock to bolt ons, all with the same result. Zeel and I would be happy to do it again in mexico if you find us an e9x m3 driver local to the DMV.

would i still rather have the m3? yes i would. nothing about justifying my purchase lol. its the better overall car, no doubt, especially when it comes to handling. But straightline speed is just not its forte, unless you dump 10+ grand on a blower kit.

Stickys car makes 5 billion horsepower. That would not be fair at all, considering we have roughly 2-3 grand in mods vs all the money he has put towards his car. basic bolt on 335i's and stock m3's is the name of the game when it comes to this discussion.

    Stock Motor Supercharged S65 > FBO Stock Turbo 335 > FBO S65

The big question is where do the Vargas Stage 3s, Stroker S65 & Built Motor S65s fall into that hierarchy

Good video. 335i seems slow for FBO, but idk what exact mods are on each car, apologies if they've been listed already. I've beaten many modded 335i's AND modded M3's because 135i's are clearly the best, duh.

Yes, please do so! lol. AZ is much hotter than up here in MD on the east coast where the air is cooler.

I cant bring myself to spend more money on a slower car. When BMW gets the next gen m3 on the street,it will be a different story.

I find it funny that every time a conversation comes up about the m3 having no tq, people start whipping out graphs, tq multiplication, blah blah. Comparing the s65 to a z06, really? Click here to enlarge

The bottom line is, when you step out of a fbo 335, and turn the key on a e9x m3....it just feels dull
Ya 400 horsepower cars are slow on the street. I had trouble merging when a prius was in the next lane. Seriously?

The M3 is pretty damn quick as it sits. We're spoiled with horsepower here be realistic it's more power than the vast majority of cars on the road.

The point with the comparison between the Z06 and M3 goes to show how the M3's gearing levels the playing field because it can be geared more aggressively due to revving higher. It's simply a fact.

Are N54 owners not speaking up for themselves or something? It's a headline, it's designed to catch your attention and I most certainly don't blame everyone. Just the dumb people.

335's are damn fast when modded correctly, but don't let that mislead you to think they are fast enough to take on ANY M3 now. Several 700+ whp e92 M3s running around, more than a handful of 800+ whp E46 M3's rolling around that no 335 is even touching, and there are def a bunch of high hp E36 M3s out there too.

Well, My car makes a little over 700WHP and my motor is completely stock. (Unlike any 700 or 800whp M3)

Just think what a 335 could do with a built motor.

yeah the M156 just tends to have THAT much more torque and holds it well

All you need to know is an M3 exceeded anything an N54 has ever done without even running to redline or on highest boost. How big do you think the disparity really is at the moment? When the S65 gets turbos how much bigger will it get?

I wonder if that has anything to do with compression ratios or the design of the OEM motor? Nah...
