As far as i know the hub behind the vibration damper (pn# 11 23 7 593 701) took a hit somehow. Not sure what would have caused it, another person on e90post had the same issue and they replaced the hub and the pulley still wobbled. Ended up having to put a crank in the car :-(

They did my turbo install did a great job on my car, and will have them perform future work on my brothers future 135i
This shop is AWFUL or just a complete hit/miss. My friend took his 335Xi a few months ago to get his FMIC & DPs installed. They didn't know it was necessary to drop the subframe, then proceeded to damage both o2 sensors (which still have not been replaced b/c Mike doesn't return my friends calls), forgot to tighten the FMIC couplers (so when we left the shop ~2 PM, we drove home with no boost, he then went back to the shop & was there until 11 PM when they finally figured out what was wrong) and then forgot to rebolt on the underbody guard, so on the highway the entire thing came off

The "mechanics" there are enthusiasts & great guys, but they have no formal mechanic education/knowledge/experience. Just my .02

Just got off the phone with @alex@ABRhouston and after speaking with him I wouldn't hesitate to bring my car, wife's car, mothers car, etc to him. He just shared gobbs of very useful information regarding the process to take to fix my new engines issue.

He shared some projects he has in store so I am sure soon enough everyone here will know a lot more about him... send some rep his way because the information he just shared was golden and he reached out to me for no reason other than to lend a hand which in this day and age is sadly very rare.

How's that possible? Because it's an Alpina and it's their warranty?

I haven't used them, but I have heard nothing but great things about this shop. A lot of VW guys ship their cars to them for engine/turbo builds (specifically 2.0 guys). But they also do a ton of BMW (including m3 superchargers and e46 turbo set ups), MB, porches, audis, etc.

They also fully warranty any engine rebuilds using RS Worx supplied parts. so there's that..They also sell Cobb, JB4, Aquamist, Active Autowerke (thought I don't see them on AA's site for dealers, but they appear on Weistec Distributor / Installer Program list)

This thread has taught me there are tons of shops out there. It's nice to see various places with various backgrounds getting referred too.

I builded my FBO 135i n54 on Testa, here in Argentina, jb4, bms dci, meth, dp, quaife LSD, etc. i think its the best place to repair and modify BMW's in Buenos Aires, Argentina. These guys rally know what they are doing! They work very clean and fast, they are very experienced in N54, N55, N63... They are also official dealers of Burger Motorsports in Argentina.

I knew many people because i did some track days over the country and they asked me where i modified it because i end on the best lap times (of 4-8 bmws), and all of them are happy with them, and i would like to install my new turbos there if sometimes i decide to update to vargas, first i will go for the AMS IC.

I did a search and couldn't find anything, I remember that PTF was testing your stage 1 turbos, did we end up with any real data for those? Dyno comparison between stock and stage 1 with same mods on same car? I am looking for a cheap way to extend the life of my turbos with the abuse I am dealing to them with nitrous ect. I am looking into a single turbo build but that will take time and will likely be a end of summer/fall project by the time I work everything out. I am considering the stage 2s also but would rather save the 1k for the end game. Sorry for the derail.

Honestly, 99% of the people buying stage 1's are people who are wanting conservative gains. D is the only one to really test them and dyno, that was with cast wheels. We have a few guys that are claiming they will dyno the billet wheels soon. We have sold a LOT of stage 1's so I am surprised there isn't more data.
