VTT certified install centers (looking for more!)

Hey guys, after a couple of problems with installs on some of our turbos. We have decided to implement a certified install center program. If you buy turbos from and we do not install them, in order for your warranty to be valid they will have to be installed by one of our certified installers. As of now we have a few already qualified but we are looking for more, a lot more, so no matter where you are you wont have to travel too far to get them installed. If you have a local shop you cannot say enough good stuff about, have our turbos and had an awesome shop put them in, or know of such a shop. Please put them in this thread under there geographic location or feel free to start a new one and we will contact them and try to get them set up. Thanks as always...Click here to enlarge

As of right now we have:

    West Coast:
    LTMW (So Cal)
    VTT (Nor Cal)

    East coast:
    Vac Motorsports (PA)
    Plandome Service (NY)
    RRT Racing (VA)

    South:
Advanced BMW Repair (Texas, Houston area)
Treehouse racing (Nashville) Is Nashville considered south or Mid West?

    Southeast:
    Eurowerks (FL)

    Canada:
PTF / Columbus Automotive Services (Ontario)

    Puerto Rico:
    Elite Motoring

I actually had them in there to begin with, but figured I would better ask before just putting them in. I'll talk to Garth.

For East Coast, there are 3 shops in NJ that come to mind:

    1. Undercover Performance / Garth (Maple Shade)
    2. Powerhaus Performance (Gloucester City), they also recently became a COBB N54 PROtuner
    3. AutoCouture Motoring (Fair Lawn), much more known with E9x M3 but they're one of the more well known BMW shops in Northern NJ/NY area

Also, Active Autowerke (@Andrew@activeautowerke ) & RennTECH in Florida & CP-E in MD (all are BB Sponsors)
COBB AP ProTune by Bren of ///Bren Tuning
Akrapovic DP | Helix FMIC | Alpina TCM Flash | Walbro 450LPH Fuel Pump

So you can't install them yourself and have the warranty be valid? I'm sure a few of us here are more than capable.

What kind of problems did you run into with the shops? It might be useful to collect this information to be used by potential installers.

My instatter ( Competition BMW in SMithtown NY ) ran the car without oil... leading to both turbos leaking from the centersection due to over heating them as well as my motor blowing as an outcome lol

they decided to open the rear turbo for some reason and did so without removing the wastegate arm leading to the turbo to lock up around the same time motor blew, LOL...

but this was a BMW dealership so god only knows who is working where lol .... kinda pathetic... but +1 a customer shouldnt be forced to pay money... but I am sure Tony will be fine with that after knowing you are capable by a convo or whatever it takes, Id imagine atleast.

That's because M-Power is a household name in Houston, much like Hennessey. There are some fast cars there at any given time.

I feel what you are saying man, there are people who are probably able to do this install at home and have it go ok, and we may be willing to make exceptions if they can show us they have the tools, knowledge, and experience to do so. But after what happened with chuck, it makes sense for both us and the customer to have the installs done by a shop that has what it takes to get it done right the first time. While swapping N54 turbos isn't the hardest job I have ever done, the first time you do it, its a tough job, very tough actually, trying to do this for the first time at home in your garage is a disaster waiting to happen in our opinion and we would rather have out customers know they are gonna take it somewhere who will do it right and stand behind it.
