The next generation F15 X5 was spotted testing recently in Germany wearing little camo meaning this car is just about ready for its reveal. The last time BimmerBoost wrote about the car was in December of last year when it was spotted with a bit more camo but with factory identification indicating a production date around August of this year. Considering the car will be built in the USA and is now wrapping up its European testing it is safe to say we should see an official reveal in the next couple months ahead of the Frankfurt auto show in September.

The new X5 looks pretty big, bigger than the previous generation car. In the video one can also clearly see it will be incorporating the new side vent BMW is putting in all their new cars.

The question is how heavy will it be? Audi is serious about lightening the Q7 going as far as to say 800 pounds will be shaved off the car. New BMW's have not exactly been light so if this vehicle is heavier than the outgoing X5 it will be approaching Mercedes GL weigh. Let's hope that is not the case, video below.
