    After shiv blew the door open on the o2 sensor issue, everything went silent. Whatever happened to the steed speed manifold?

    Steed speed isn't working on it anymore that I know of. I emailed them last nov asking for a status and to preorder the first kit but never heard back from them.

    No o2 sensor provisions that I can see, no external wastegate? How is this supposed to work? I didn't think single turbos big enough for what we want came with internal wastegates?

    At this point it looks like the only way to get a ST manifold is top order a set of head flanges from Tony and have your mani custom fabbed... I get the feeling there's more of this going on than is talked about openly on the forums.

    Once a tuning solution for the single turbos other than a procede exist, I don't see anything wrong with buying an FFTEC single (or Vargas, if he makes a single turbo kit also, which he probably will). The FFTEC hardware seems pretty good quality, its just the procede and shiv's tuning that seem to mess with it.

    This prototype was probably cast before most people realized the O2 sensors had to go pre-turbo. As far as the wastegate, you can either get a T3 housing w/ internal gate (probalby good for up to ~600whp) or go the BW EFR route (if they ever become available again). However, I don't think there are any internally gated V-band housings available for larger turbos (only GT25, GT28, etc.)

    was just about to say this - had a look and there they were

    what are they like though? i haven't actually read much on them... a good turbo? not too expensive looking either.

    that's the most annoying part

    private race teams doing whatever they want that no one else may be doing - they probably find out so much useful stuff before others...

    i'd still believe the quickest/fastest/most powerful N54's would be online, and likely here, though. but there has to be a lot of useful info available out there offline only Click here to enlarge

    That's good to hear! I would definitely have one of those if they had been available when I was turbo shopping. Nobody had them (or knew when they'd be available) at that time.

    A flash tuner was supposed to remove the O2 pre-turbo requirement.

    I don't know specific details on this, but this guy told me that there's this 335 in Orlando that's taking everybody out on the street... 800 whp monster... blah blah blah

    I called bull$#@!, but like you guys said, there might be some mythical beasts lurking under the radar.
