No I did not hear and would be more than happy to help in any way I can.

We definitely will want to put up pics, vids, and graphs.

Dyno day is Oct 2nd if anyone is interested. Its an awd mustang dyno so don't be bummed about your results. I put down only 24x who on it bone stock on a fresh engine with like 1k miles on it. I would guess and say that getting 400 on that synopsis fully bolted on high boost would be one hell of an accomplishment LOL.

Hey laloosh, Im planning to take my car to a dyno for self tuning. I can go to an awd dynojet (titan motorsports) or an mustang awd dyno. Which one do you recomend?

For bragging rights use a dynojet. For a better tune use a mustang as it simulates or even exceeds real load the car would see on the street.

I agree, I would feel safer with a tune that was created under "full-load" conditions. Here in Corpus, a lot of guys tune in a high gear on the street, because we do not have a good dyno. (or shop owner)

The Dastek down at Rudtners is a load bearing dyno...I mean it did help a lot with a lot of the preliminary tuning and getting maps squared away when doing Haltech managment systems, but I still had to go out on the road with the car and do 170+ lol.....you would be surprised who needs tuning up at those speeds.

I assisted in the build for a 930 a few years back and the guy ran a Lambo down Lido Blvd and onto the Loop Parkway at over 180mph...came back with a melted piston. He was the most unassuming guy and he said he rarely drives the car...and when he did maxed it out LOL

Apparently the HKS GT Wastegate didnt provide enough room to exit and the boost creeped up and he didnt watch it...At least the HKS GT II gate does the trick now...

Damn, that sucks. I ALWAYS watch my boost on my 300zx using an analog gauge and my Greddy Profec B, and I'm glad I do because it spiked to 22 psi one time when it was supposed to stop at 17psi, and I was only on 93octane. Ended up that the boost signal hose going from the EBC solenoid to the wastegates was kinked so the wastegates didn't get a boost signal and know to open. If I hadn't had caught it and continued my 4th gear pull I would of had a critical failure.

It's crazy how something small can cause serious consequences if you aren't being careful.

The cp-e dyno is an absolute heartbreaker. We had a fully bolted GT-R put down 380 whp. Seriously. The dude almost cried. I think his exhaust was over $5K. No idea about what tune he was running but his car sounded nice, lol. He probably had one of the early COBB GT-R fail tunes and hadn't updated.

Delta's are what i care about. it was nice to hit 500 really and the delta was obviously huge, but the fatc that the baseline i had was with the upgradeds, bolt-ons and race fuel, doesnt show the whole story. If i can get ther for the dyno day, it will be interesting to see what a fully stock n54 puts down, and then im gonna do a dyno on map 0 pump gas, then add the race fuel/meth and bump the boost up to 21. Should give a good idea of what fun everyone is in for

Cpe has 3-4 bone stock n54 dunks on file. All were in the 24x range. I'd imagine your car on the stock tune will put down 260-265 on their dyno. Either way I'm curious to see u run through the gears on that dyno. It will be interesting to see the power numbers throughout an entire 1/4 mile pull.

Sounds interesting. Ill have no excuses for this event. Ie. Tires rubbing and new plugs etc. So what it makes, is what it makes.

Not saying u have excuses lol. I would imagine you to be in the 440 range at 20-21 Psi on race gas and Meth. What I'm interested in is weather u can sustain that through multiple gears at a time.

I think 440-460 is about where ill be on a mustang

Hmm That was my friends GTR... The tune was fine. I had a friend there with an Evo that made over 450 on e85 on a mustang dyno, not even crack 400 on CPE's... I guess it hurts some peoples egos, but dynos are for measuring change.

Anyway, is anyone from here going to the CPE meet, I live 5 mins from them. I hope to speak to them about their tuning product if they have time. As a side note, these seem to be very invisible in pushing their products, they were at one time very active on the EVO X forums, now there is not even a mention of their upcoming car meet. Hopefully that is not the case on the BMW side.

We all know about it. I had planned on making it down, but military stuff came up that i cant get away from. But I agree they are quiet for now, but i believe they will be a "house-hold" name here shortly in the BMW community

They are a bit a quiet in general but they have some big things in store for us, single turbo N54 builds that they are working on for example.

I think that CPE is good stuff. Maybe they are hesitant to be active on the forums b/c they have seen how another vendor handles himself and don't feel like dry heaving after reading? FWIW, Please, put up a FAQ that outlines your latest release (or, soon to be released tune). Thx.

That other vendor is quite limited, they know that all too well.

I honestly just think CP-E is very busy.

George - as always - its a pleasure!! Feel free to post some speedo vids and run some higher octane and meth simultaneously as well for some REALLY incredible performance.

Guys - what makes this product so special - is that its NORMAL! It allows you to actually tune your car. Get on a dyno - tune your afr - dial in the boost - load up the rollers and go through the timing curve. I am always available to help with tuning or even just giving insight on how to tune. The standback will come with tons of premade maps that you can just hookup and run, share with friends, try other peoples setups (obviously do so with cars running similar modifications and observing conditions through proper gauges), etc. ---- OR HAVE PROFESSIONALY TUNED at your local dyno tuning facility. We have companies such as Re-Action Engineering, AMS, AR Design and many others who would be more than happy to assist as well.

Ya - our dyno hurts peoples feelings quite often. My car with pump gas and 50/50 meth makes about 356whp @ just shy of or at low boost with an ultra conservative tune as my turbos are in need of replacing. Sounds like nothing but my baseline was just shy of 230whp.

PM me your contact info and I would love to get in touch with you and discuss some things.

Its a mixture of things. On this platform I have decided to take a very quiet stance on most things. When things do require me to post I will. I'll go into depth on this next.

VERY VERY VERY TRUE. We have no issues with other vendors or tuners. We actually work very closely with Terry from BMS even though we offer competing tunes. There doesn't need to be any tension among vendors or competition. I will simply post facts on our products and the rest I will let the customers do as its honestly better for a customer to tell you why they recommend our product than me saying it...pretty sure I am always going to recommend ours Click here to enlarge

Although it is easier to discuss things openly here - which if anyone ever has questions I will always answer - there is still reprocussions in other places. People troll, lurk, etc. Its a forum. Everyone is an expert. As a result things will get mentioned other places where I can't defend myself because the administration doesn't feel we deserve a spot there even as paying vendors. I have reached out numerous times and they don't even respond. Oh well.

I hope this sheds a little light.

We really look forward to bringing big things to this platform. We are going to be doing some local events for BMW's only so that people can get a chance to see our products, facilities, and try things out.

Sniz came by our dyno day the other day and was caught off gaurd with how comprehensive our premises are. From the dyno with a fan setup that you can literally lean into and not fall down, to multiple cad driven benders, 5 axis cnc's, robotic welders, etc. we really do engineer products and not just slap things together.

PM'ing me or emailing me at Jhershorin@cp-e.com is the easiest way to reach me.

    Big things to come!!

    Jake

We respect you and want you here. BMS is in the same position, honestly, having BMS and CP-E both is fantastic and not only do you guys work well together and have a good relationship, it fosters a good atmosphere here.

I don't even want any other N54 tuner, having you both is a blessing, their loss.
