That is one mean SOB. Even the preliminary numbers are staggering. Well played, sir.

Would love to do a photo shoot sometime if you're into that sort of thing.

I waited until I got home to listen to this again with some actual awesome speakers. My wife, a known non-expert in all things cars and car modding related, told me "wow that sounds really mean! Even louder than yours."

So, apparently now I have to get an E92 M3. THANKS ALOT STICKY. </3

Sounds awesome and great numbers!! Congrats sticky

As for inflation, it's a built 4l v8 with a high redline, a good size super charger, a nice amount of boost and race gas. How are these numbers hard to believe? This thing will hit 930whp within the year.

your sarcasm is subtle, but if you paid attention, you would see the dyno graph is from specialtyz, not gintani.. specialtyz is used by a lot of the bmw forum members, here and others

This Dyno was done at Specialty Z dyno. Has nothing to do with Gintani. Terry goes there along with a lot of other cars... http://specialtyz.com/

Um, they have a Dyno Dynamics. It's Specialty Z's dynojet. Terry@BMS uses it, locals all use it, it's well known.

You know what I told alex? Let's overspin it to 70k rpm, run FTW purple, crack 1k at the wheels, and tell everyone to suck it.

His response was, "I know what you want to do bro but I'm more concerned about pushing it slowly to see how the block holds and if anything I would push my own car beyond known limits before doing it with a customers. It just wouldn't be responsible."

So yeah, people with no clue are babbling as usual. This is a YSI on a built S65. Someone needs to take a look at the CFM that blower moves to know their stuff. Of course it craps all over VT3's, what did people think was going to happen? The V3si is for children compared to the YSI which powers cars into the freaking 8's. Does anybody actually know what they are talking about regarding the hardware in use?

Secondly, this is an 18.5 psi pulley. This blower isn't even being spun to 65,000 rpm yet. You want to see a glory run? I'll show you one. But this wasn't it.

Let me get this straight, a dynograph with slipping clutches done the night before BimmerFest to make the show doesn't impress you? Neither does the fact a new world record was set with 1250 more rpm to go? Meaning it kicks the living crap out of anything else without running to peak?

And you need more data? You have a build thread on the trans how many pages long? You have dynos at every stage of the build. You have NA dyno, you have NA timeslips, you have supercharged dynos, you have supercharged timeslips, and now you have a built motor dyno, guess what will follow? Am I supposed to jump ahead in time for you?

The problem here isn't a lack of anything from me it's that this idiot only reads m3post. This same guy asked why no pictures or videos were posted. They are here you $#@!ing moron.

Are YOU kididng me? What are you supposed to do at a car show booth, set up an impromptu 1/4 mile strip and tell everyone to move out of the way?

They aren't supposed to show a dyno?

A video of the car running and showing the sound of the YSI, headers, and exhaust for the crowd sucks apparently?

What were the ESS cars doing? 60-130 runs through the crowd?

congrats Sticky, and enjoy the car in good health!
as far as show awards, you basically need some combination of wide body, lambo doors, colored rims and neon paint jobs to even get look at by the judges, thats just the way they operates.

i'm all for the s65 coming into it's own and i applaud sticky for setting a new record, but why is that "freaking nuts"? a stage 2 maxpsi e46 turbo makes slightly less whp, more torque under the curve until about 6000 rpm, the dyno smoothing set to 0 which looks almost identical to his set at the max of 5, and even though pricing hasn't been released, i can almost guarantee costs much less than what he's paid to have gintani build his car.

i like all forced induction, but peak torque at 7200 rpm? not for me. i'd rather have slightly less and ride it out from 5 to redline.

For some reason the announcer at Bimmerfest never notified the crowd that the world's most powerful E92 M3 was in the house and that a new world record had been achieved on the platform. I waited for hours for the announcement which was hand written and delivered to the announcer but to no avail. Additionally, the car did not win a single award despite being the E92 M3 on display that had the most work done to it. Perhaps it needed some tacky neon green trim and red roundels? Definitely odd and awkward considering the years of engineering that have gone into it and that Gintani was a sponsor of the event. Perhaps if a competitor was not the headline sponsor Gintani and this car would have received the acknowledgement that was deserved and earned?

i totally understand how you must feel, but come on...you dont need to win an award just to make you feel better, do you? setting the world record wasn't enough? you needed everyone to flock to your car and congratulate you on it to make you feel better?

again, i'm not trying to take away from your moment of glory, just trying to put things into perspective.
