I never said the YSI was the 'only' one only that Gintani is the only one doing it and offering it as an option with their kits. Maybe a reading comprehension issue?

Regarding what is unique, um, well just about everything. The motor build is more involved than any other S65 build. Perhaps you already know about the issues with the head rising beyond a certain power level? And how to fix them? Or how to design the sleeves to work with the S65's relatively soft material not designed for big boost for weight savings? How about upgrading the DCT? Perhaps you know how to do it or what areas to address? Yep, nothing unique. Just a YSI that's it lol.

So once again it's my fault SSP did not deliver because I did... what? What is it I did? More bees with honey? You don't say, like free advertising for them and a dozen articles all written in support. The only 'vinegar' was me being upset that after giving them an extra YEAR beyond when SSP said it would be done they still did not deliver. Oh what a dick I am for not bothering them and giving him ample time to finish it. I should have handled it how exactly? By not being positive and supportive? By not giving them everything requested? Good point, you were there and all and clearly would have handled this more productively.

I don't own an American car, don't want one over the M3, and am not interested in switching platforms. I'm building an M3 thanks so much for mentioning other platforms that have nothing to do with it. Wow Mustangs can be fast? OMG shock and awe!

I plan on expanding my network to cover everything what does that have to do with a BMW build exactly?

What do you mean if it runs? How has Alex been driving it on the street then? WTF are you talking about? Once again pulling negative crap out of your rear end when you have no clue. Do you do anything else?

So me handling it by giving Gintani everything necessary to address the trans is what? Handling it poorly? I'm not having a problem with anything. I'm good. You're the one who seems to have a problem with my car as if it keeps you up at night.

THE CAR ISN'T SITTING. Last all it did was go to Bimmerfest and set a new record. Alex has been driving it, we are waiting on clutch packs to get delivered so I can run it to redline without the clutch slipping at 18.5 psi. GET IT THROUGH YOUR HEAD. What is wrong with your reading comprehension? How do I write this so you process it?

    Wow people are stupid.
    1. The statement stands bro you sounded $#@!... The fact that your mother dresses you funny has nothing to do with it.
    2. You act as though you created and then fully documented these so called innovations... Factually the car hasnt been thrashed in the wild yet, nothing is proven its all a want to happen.
    3. Clearly your reading comprehension off here, its interesting what you choose to pick and choose to read. I was pretty clear, read it again and if need be we can put in BIG LETTERS AND PRETTY COLORS FOR YOU TO UNDERSTAND.
    4. And yet again the reading comprehension you claim I lack yet so clearly exhibit. I called you on being a hypocrite and wanting to cover a market you have a disdain for. Again we can do BIG LETTERS AND PRETTY COLORS if you cant figure it out.
    5. As for its driving... The question is can you go out today right now and go WOT without issue or hesitation? Last I read (see reading is fundamental) your car doesnt handle WOT, its running a "borrowed" stock trans and its still WAITING for clutch packs. Thats all per your statement. Help me understand how thats a fully running car thats ready to rock after 3yrs of building, innovation and record setting?

You seem to mistake real questions for hate... I'm all for the hobby expanding and the project would be really cool had it completed sooner and the owner wasnt a tool. The fact is the car remains a joke in the BMW world and you know this. 3yrs and nothing proven yet is where you're at. But please note the following, and again I put this in BIG LETTERS for you.

I HAVE NEVER SAID I DO NOT WISH YOUR PROJECT WELL, IT MUST SUCK TO HAVE THIS TAKE 3 LONG ASS YEARS AND HAVE NO CONCRETE RESULTS. I HOPE IT RUNS, I HOPE YOU SPANK EVERY CAR YOU RUN AND I HOPE SOMEHOW IT BRINGS YOU A LIL JOY. BUT YOU'RE STILL A TOOL...

Now I'm off for the holiday, you can post to your hearts content. Facts dont lie dude... Cheers!!!

I don't understand why it matters when this is finished. We know the story - much was out of the owner's control. I don't understand what was expected? This is one person doing a build that no one has done before - it hit some roadblocks - and these roadblocks were unforeseeable, and worse were not handled appropriately on the vendor/trans builder's side of things.

So, here we stand - waiting for something. We know the car runs, we know the car will run at it's full potential, it is waiting on parts. I suppose he could fly out and get the packs from Germany himself, but that would be insane. It will get done. Period. I don't understand why a build is a "joke" if it takes a long time - especially if no one has done it yet. I seriously don't get that. I personally joined this forum when I saw this build - and I am more than certain other people have also. I would say this build has done it's job in one way or another, and will do the job of performing soon enough. May not be on a schedule - but we'll see it soon enough. I have no doubts of this.

Other builds can take much longer - some take less time. Some people just go to a tuner and say "I want that" - in this case, there was no tuner and there was no "that" - this is a NEW build. Once this is all done, the car is going to be running - and probably doing excellent - then all this arguing stops? I don't get it - it's almost like people don't think this exists or something.

I is what I is. (wtf does this even mean?) Click here to enlarge

Here's my take on it. Lets not let emotion (or facts) get in the way of a good story. I want to see this car run and specifically interested in the DCT upgrades over the power numbers.

    These facts cannot be disputed:

    -This is Sticky's Car.
    -This is Sticky's Build.
-Sticky chose Gintani and SSP to complete the build in 2010 - regardless of side benefits or discounts.
    -These choices were undeniably Sticky's.
-On July 3, 2013- the build has not been finished.

As unfortunate as the DCT build turned out, the buck stops on whomever owns the car.

I could not disagree with this anymore. Being a shop owner I know very well how things can get delayed and delayed and delayed and delayed and delayed due to, machining, manufacturing, R&D, testing, ETC ETC ETC ETC ETC. To say this is the fault of the customer or even that the buck stops on whoever owns the car, makes zero sense in my book. The customer has ZERO control over how fast his car is done.

Are people sitting at their computers with a stop watch? Why is it the same comment from the same little group over and over?

So I'm waiting on some parts, big deal.

I take responsibility for choosing SSP. Never go with someone based on what they promise you or trust someone who hasn't shown any work on the platform. My mistake, but I wasn't responsible for the work. Gintani delivered what they were supposed to and are now cleaning up SSP's mess. Everything is fine, I don't see the big deal.

    Cool story bro!

    1. This has a whole ton to do with my car. You throw your back out reaching for insults yet or what?

    2. I didn't say the car has been 'thrashed' yet it's waiting on some parts. Is it cool if I get them first? Or should I be on your schedule? This makes what kind of sense?

    3. It's clear bold letters don't help you make your point it just looks like you're screaming for attention. Need some attention from Sticky lil guy?

    4. I don't have disdain for any market so your comments make no sense. What I said is I would never want a cheap American pile of junk for my car. I like the GT500, C6 Z06, etc. So, you don't know how to read is the constant.

    5. Yes, you can go WOT like Alex did the other night when blowing his buddies GT500 out of the water you just have to shift earlier. But you keep commenting without knowing what you're talking about. Maybe that is what needs to be written in bold?

It doesn't suck at all I'm enjoying holding the HP record and am just waiting on a few parts to raise it even further. Wow that sounds terrible. The car is a beast and shocking quite a few people. It's the haters who want to comment negatively and in bold when their idiotic comments are quickly dismissed as nothing but petty spite. If you look up the definition of what a tool is you would see someone doing what I just mentioned fits the definition. As in, you.

What matters is getting it done right not getting it done fast. A lot of shops can throw hardware together that can fail. This is uncharted territory and they have made things right every step of the way.

I'm not responsible for their work but I am responsible for sending them a trans. Regardless, if you want to blame me for SSP's failure that's fine. I gave somebody a chance and got burned. I had good intentions they didn't.

Highlight where I used the words blame or fault in this matter. Until then, this comment is laughable.

The buck stops on you merely since you hold the title (hopefully). I am "blaming" you for owning the car.

    Nothing more. Nothing less.

No more word twisting (or inserting) games. I am already married.

Why didn't you highlight 'if' as well?

    Nothing more. Nothing less.

No more word twisting (or inserting) games. I am already married.
It's ultimately my car and I'm getting it resolved but I'm not responsible for companies failures. All I can do is get my car running. I did everything in my power for SSP there was nothing more that could be done. Your point has no merit it only serves to muddy the waters. I've already moved past this and it is being resolved so why some of you are living in the past I have no clue. Well, I do have a clue, to drag somebody down.

    1. This has a whole ton to do with my car. You throw your back out reaching for insults yet or what?

    2. I didn't say the car has been 'thrashed' yet it's waiting on some parts. Is it cool if I get them first? Or should I be on your schedule? This makes what kind of sense?

    3. It's clear bold letters don't help you make your point it just looks like your screaming for attention.

As in, you.

Drink plenty of this on vacation, stay hydrated:
I'll make this my last post on the subject, feel free to write whatever cute retort suits ya.

    1. The original statement stands bro... $#@! is $#@!

    2. Who said anything about my schedule? What I have said consistently is that the timing is insanely long and the results are yet to be seen. Now if you're saying you went into this with a 3 or 4yr timeline then I guess you're right on schedule. I doubt that was the plan however.

    3. Attention from another dude is the last thing I need... Homo often dude? I merely wanted to be sure what I said was crystal clear for you, you seem to miss the point or misconstrue information far to often.

    4. You've been very clear on your thoughts on US vehicles and their place versus the German makes... Its a contradiction plain and simple

    5. Know its wiping up GT500's but only at with early shifts... A stock 13 GT500 isnt a race for you, a modded GT500 whether a 13 or older with a blower swap is a conversation. But if only to reiterate a simple point. You're not driving the car, someone else is. No video and likely versus a car it should easily beat isnt worth a conversation. Now if its a modded GT500 with 700whp or more then I stand corrected if there's a video to showcase the performance.

As I said clearly in somewhat bold letters I hope the project bears some fruit and that you get some joy from it. Doesnt change the fact that you're a tool nor is it hate towards the car. You like to pick and choose how to turn words around versus letting statements be what they are. So I say again, I hope the car someday will be completed and fully usable for you. However you seem to be always waiting for something else. You've rather clearly voiced your frustration with the car and the vendors. That sucks if it didnt it wouldnt be common knowledge around here, facts are facts. As for your definition of tool, look in the mirror dude. Thats a daily reminder you cant get rid of. Bwahahahahaha... Off you go lil boy!

    1. Good for you breaking down car related points. Oh wait, you aren't.

    2. I don't give a crap what you think about the timeline stop wasting my time bringing it up as if I'm not aware.

    3. Why are you posting in my thread then begging for attention and taking it OT? Not only are you being a hater you are being a bitter little girl showing no class. To be expected, you don't have any.

    4. I like certain US vehicles I know exactly what I think about them what you think about what I may think is completely irrelevant and once again OT crap from you.

    5. I'm not talking about what a race is or isn't the point which flew over your head is the car is quite quick and has been slowly stretching its legs despite not being able to go to redline. Let's see if you comprehend it.

Cool type in bold letters and go further OT with your junk that has nothing to do with the topic at hand. Please continue to take the time to show everyone how bitter and what a small person you are. Wait, I've got a much better idea. Why don't you let me worry about my car and you run along and go play with your little C5 ok?

I can't believe I missed this thread. Congrat's Sticky on a awesome build and the record. And FTW, your car looks tits. Regarding some American muscle cars, can you say plastic, plastic and more plastic? Love the engines though, but not enough to buy one.
