    I need some help getting my times down. So far my best has been 12.5 with a 1.9 60ft. I have tried launch control and it does not seem to work for me. The mash technique work sometimes but sometimes I just spin before I hook up. I know running my 20in LM-R's doesn't help. Any pointers would be great as I have a private track day at MIR at the end of the month. That is if it doesnt snow again.

    I think Sammy is doing 5.5lbs boost

    I am at 6lbs boost

    I think with better tires he should be in the low 8s I think DCT should be about 1 sec faster then 6MT but that is just my theory.
    but the Gpwr kits have better torque.

    Nice time brotha, especiialy since your shift times cost you some time compared the DCT cars.

    A little OP... It's interesting seeing how the s65 took off so much faster with FI than the s54. When the s54 came out, I think it was a transitional period in the car modding world. Before the s54 started to be boosted, no one thought motors with this high of a CR ratio would be able to handle the boost levels that we now know they are capable of handling.

    Back when the s54's came out, people thought it wouldn't be able to even handle 3psi. We now know that it can handle up to 9psi on pump fuel and 16psi with race gas!

    It's nice to see that the s65 doesn't have to go through what was learned with the s54 and seeing results so early in it's existance. I can only imagine what is in store for us as the s65 is pushed further to it's limits!

    ya I do feel the same way cause I was one of the guys who was wondering if its possible or not. But lucky for the S54.

    Exactly... for over year on bimmerpost people were telling me this motor could not be boosted and 12.0:1 is impossible on 91 octane yadda yadda yadda. I kept telling them to look at what teh S54 has done on 11.5:1... now nobody questions it.

    The S54 also got a bad reputation at first due to the bearing recall issue. The motor got an unfair reputation as fragile and now it is seen as extremely strong. A lot of people had no idea what they were talking about saying the S54 would not be able to take boost. To be honest, that iron block is to be envied and we won't see another high revving gasoline motor with an iron block from BMW again.

    Looks like J added Robert's 11 flat run, nice job Rob, just missed 10's, but I have a feeling you will get there soon. I know that was done on a non approved NHRA track, but who cares, those cars capable of those times. I also added PG's 8.34 60-130 run.
