    id have to dump $50k+ into the car, and then fail, AND THEN eat a few real pies while I come up with pie charts, to quantify why my less HP, slower car, is the better choice

    I've seen 2.5 make stronger numbers sometimes. Those
    numbers there seem to be the average.
    There are quite a few making mor power.

    On race gas he is hoping to crack 600whp I believe. Mspired's 2.5 puts up 700 whp...

    No doubt about it, but the S54 is a 1000+ whp motor when built with a big single. The N54 would have to have insane money thrown at it. Let's get to 600 whp on that motor first.

    not my point at all, he seems right on point to get that from his build.

    My point was that HPF needs to get on it with the N54, so we they can make HPF kinds of #'s.. Hence the statement "HPF needs to get on it with the N54 already"

    It doesn't matter if they get it on it or not, it won't make the numbers built S54's are.

    Right now they are so focused on the E46 M3 it is going to be a while but I'm sure you read that anyway. I like HPF just as much as everybody else, but they can't turn the N54 into an S54.

    Hehe, and I'm trying to tell you that is not possible.

    The S54 is doing what it is doing without having the heads or cams even touched and it revs much higher... think about that. Fueling is going to be an obstacle with the N54 as will the valvetrain, cams, and heads.

    They will make great power, no doubt, but if you want to see 2.5, 3, and Stage 4 numbers you will need to do it with an S54. Seriously, that motor is the king of BMW 6 cylinders.

    nothing is true until proven or disproven..May not be the easiest motor to work with, but because the same motor is in 4 different chassis, if they can do it, they will have a huge market base for it... it may not be HPF to get it done, but SOMEONE is going to build it to compete

    Someone is going to have to work real hard to make enough money to turn that N54 into an S54.

    I'm done modding mine after its put together as well, not doing this again. Next ride will just have one of these turbo M motors.
