Not so much... It can be done, but it would never last. Above 900 WHP, it's a matter of time until the rods give up. A reliable 1200 WHP Gallardo is going to mean full forged internals, a sleeved block & anti-flex plates, the 1500 WHP version require sleeved blocks, anti-flex plates & billet internals.

AND all I got from this is someone ruined a perfectly good E30 M3 with the 2JZ + hideous side exhaust.

We're talking about the 2jz gTe, that would be like me downing M motors because of the lesser motors which they're based off. The fact you gotta use a 5(.2)litre v10 for comparison speaks to the level of the 2j.

No my example was not to compare to the 2JZ it was selecting a naturally aspirated motor than when the compression is dropped for forced induction makes a ton more power, that was my point.

It is unfair to say stock internal power is the judge when NA motors from the factory will always be at a disadvantage in this regard.

Those are two different blocks...if you put turbo internals in the NA block you'd make more power but still not match the gte.

Idle sound very rotary like when idling, must have some beastly cams.

Sad to see yet another 2jz fueled discussion thread though Click here to enlarge
