    2013 Camaro ZL1 vs 2013 Shelby GT500 - Heads up - 1/4 mile Drag Race

Looks like the Mustang had traction issues. Good race though

How does the ZL1 only trap 113... What a dissapointment.
Some people live long, meaningful lives.

Other people eat shit and die.

I'm not racist, I hate everybody equally; especially fat people.

    Those Camaro's are beautiful.

American cars always had a odd look over here up until the last 3 or 4 years.

Good catch. Must be a very bad preped track and a high Density Altitude

The zl1 trap sucks, but the gt500 trap speed is about 7-8mph off as well.

Sounds about right. ZL1s heatsoak badly just like the CTS-V, I've seen them in the 110 range before (and got beaten by a stock 5.0)

People expect record traps every time out. Conditions make a huge difference, these cars were both down by the same amount making for a fair race.

Some of you act like a car traps 125 once and it always traps 125. I'm kind of sick of seeing the same people propagate this idiocy as apparently critical thinking is beyond them.

My speed traps get criticized for the same thing, yet no one thinks about these important things

Raced a ZL1 last week at the 1/8 mile track, only did 88mph to my 92mph, pretty great DA of ~500ft.

Ill tell you 1 thing... The ZL1 puts down fast lap times. I ran 1:33:3 at WSIR (in a 3 lap test drive in a 100% stock car). Best I manage in my M3 stock besides wheels and rs3 tires is a 1:34:5. The suspension in that car does magic on the track.
    Current:
    14 Viper TA
    Wsir - 1:28:9
    Buttonwillow C13 - 1:54:1

That's more a measure of consistency. The GT-R will be very close each and every pass.

It's definitely impressive the way it handles but damn does the GT500 smack it around power wise.
