Custom HPF sleeper exhaust for Stage 3...

    the Lberg edition...

We developed a custom exhaust for Lawrence's HPF Stage 3 M3 using 3 long resonators instead of one Aero Turbine muffler and were able to quiet the car down 3-5 decibels (which is really quite a bit to the ear). Although the car still sounds mean, this has made this car noticeably quieter. The exhaust note now has a more comfortable tone both inside and outside of the vehicle and sounds only slightly louder than our stage 2.5 with AP exhaust. This was done without any power losses.

Here's a video clip along with our decibel testing...

I love it. Sounds perfect!!!Click here to enlarge

Good stuff Charlie, that's another aspect about HPF that I like, they go above and beyond to make the customer happy/fullfilled. Great work Chris and HPF! Congrats LH!

Great option for those that don't want to attract attention. Super loud exhausts are fun for a bit but they get old real fast.

Yeah,I wish I could figure a way to kill a few decibels on my car.( Not much room) I fall into the old man category that does not need to attract attention.

I'm wondering why more exhausts with valves aren't popular. Keep it quiet when you need it and press a button for obnoxious and loud when you need it.

I agree. I think cut-outs are a great idea, but I haven't seem them prove to be reliable. Makes sense they are subjected to basically the harshest of the harsh conditions and it doesn't take much for a flap to get lodged open or lodged closed or rusted shut. A friend of mine went through 3 sets in a year. Maybe people on the West Coast have better luck since they don't see the winter conditions.
