Thanks, our video will be better. I thought I'd appease my friend since he has been yearning to race a 328i ...

Very nice! Great to see the N52 doing some runs.

The SI's have a solid top end, always have.

I kinda miss my 08 Si. I think that car was the most fun out of any car I owned. You could thrash it ALL DAY.

    The motor begged to spin.

that was a cute race lol. thought the 328 would have pulled a little near top end cause of the I6. but i guess the weight really made a difference

Honda has better high-end torque because of their quality head and cam design. The N52 has better overall torque vs the Si and is relatively flat vs the N54 but doesn't have most of it up top, where it matters in racing. The cam change on the Honda is not nearly as smooth though (VTEC), according to the dyno charts.

It looks like the stock Civic Si only dyno's around 10-20whp less than a N52 on a dynojet, so the outcome of these races makes sense.

yea the outcome does make sense but idk how the high end torque from the SI would be so much more progressive than the bmw. 140 tq @ 6.1k rpm while the bmw 200tq @ 2.75k rpm. i guess cause the torque comes up high to mkae that last changing gears pull.

I don't mind Hondas at all. When done right and not spray painted and what not. Front wheel drive just sucks.

I had one for a few days.. i was WTF!? this a BMW? if felt like a fcukin civic.. why the hell would i pay more $$ for a 328 than any other base model when this is not better.. I was under the assumption that MY entry level 3 series was the norm, minus the motor and EXTRA options.. I guess not..

if you think a 328 is slow try driving a 528. Its so slow it accelerates backwards.
