    Im ready for the internet... Who do you recommend? Home use

    I have been using my neighbors wifi and Im ready for something Fast and consistent..

    I live in a more remote area and need something reliable and fast.

    What do you recommend? And what are the prices?

    Whats the best bang for the buck?


    All help would appreciated , Hopefully backed up by your experience..

    It depends on where you live.
    The best internet is Verizon Fios, hands down. It simply is the fastest thing out there right now. Problem is , you live in a rural area. it will be hard to get. you can check online though.
    Comcast is the next obvious choice. Easy to get in most areas. then regular verizon internet.

    Try Comcast then, they usually have some good promotional rates.

    Try to call again.
    If you really live far in the suburbs, try:
    http://www.wildblue.com/
    But if theres incliment weather, you may not have as good as service :-/
    And, the download/upload speeds are much slower then Comcast. I'm sure Comcast will have service in your area though

    No, I would never use a dish unless I had to.

    Comcast will usually offer a 6 month special. If you try, you can get it extended for 1 year at the promotional rate. Just tell them that at&t or joe shmoe's internet service has a promotional price for 1 year. It shouldn't be difficult.

    I have comcast here I love it.

    Here's a quick speed test I just did... i usually get 25+

    ohh... and this is on wifi... not hardwired directly to the modem/router.
