    I spoke with GTB and they confirmed that the heat shields are retained.

    If we make the diameter of the pipe smaller we can get the lower heat shield in the tunnel to fit but since we made this for performance we decided against it. We actually had a customer make it fit but it required some work and I don't think its really worth it.

    -Remember the cat is no longer there and the heat is not being collected in the downpipe like it used to.

    Our tune and our downpipes with an akra exhaust.

    Gains will be around 30-40whp

    How is everyone dealing with the CEL from a catless dp? I have a CAN tool collecting dust, from my previous N55 - 335... will this work and clear the codes on the N63-550i? (I couldn't see any reason why not, just looking for a definitive answer).

    I'm not sure on the CAN tool but a tune can disable the CEL.

    On the 550 they are just dealing with it at the moment.. X5/6 5.0 and x5/6M we can do it
