    Alpina b3 tcu flash question

Love the flash, but I feel the shift from 2-3 at high rpm's is harsh? Is anyone else getting that? It could be just because the trans just shift so fast at lower speeds? Kind of reminds me of shifts in an e46 m3 smg.

I don't recall it being harsh I'll double-check it Later today.

But to be clear I talking about D mode, S mode, or manual?

Are you talking about a WOT pull from 2nd into 3rd being rough? At what RPM are you shifting? I mean it's def not "smooth" like in Regular Drive, but it's significantly quicker than the OEM programming

I'm talking about in manual mode and shifting around 6200-6500 rpm. It just seems to grab hard from 2nd to 3rd. Other higher gears seem to not grab as hard. Couldn't tell you about 1st to 2nd since I never use 1st gear in manual mode.

It prob feels more "violent" since it's a very rapid acceleration from 2nd to 3rd (those 2 gears cover from 0 to 90 MPH) vs. the other gear shifts. In Manual mode it actually never engages 1st unless you intentionally downshift because it'll go through the gear so quickly you'll just bang off the rev limiter.

I hope that's the case. I flashed the trans with no errors, but is it possible for this to happen because something went wrong during the flash?

    ^^. What benzy said

I think I know what you are feeling. To me it feels normal. Yeah your pushing high levels of torque and you do feel a little roughness. Feels pretty much the same in S mode, D mode a little less also if you can get on it early enough.

sorry not enough experience to be technical. But I am pushing 440+ wtq.

As long as its normal. I don't mind it, just seeing if its irregular. I'm on jb4 g5 iso map5 with downpipes and dci, but I'm seeing 15psi in this cold weather. Can't wait for it to get in the upper 60 degrees or low 70's so I can run e85 again and see how this flash handles that.
