    Low compression s65 v8 Motor Build

    I'm currently installing an active level 3 system on my M3. I'm interested in pushing the limits of the new rotrex blower and a built motor seems like an obvious thing to do if I'm looking to break 600whp. Does anyone have any recommendations to a shop who I can discuss this build with? I'm located in MN but willing to ship the car to the right people.

    Man great question.

    Obviously on here @Mike@VAC would be the first to talk to.

    I have no idea whom AA uses for their motor builds but I have seen great results although there are only 2 or maybe 1 running around I think.

    Why not just contact Active Autowerke directly, they do have a low-compression S65 with the Rotrex (known as Level 4). That way you can find out what they recommend (sleeved block, which internals & compression, etc)

    @Andrew@activeautowerke
    How do you know that I haven't already contacted Active? That would be the most logical thing for me to do since I am running their kit.

    We build them. Obviously we order parts from various suppliers but all the builds are done in house.

    On a Rotrex kit we would lower compression I very small amount change pistons, rods and sleeve the block.

    Remember the Rotrex is the perfect size for the stock engine which is why it works so damn well . If you lower compression to much it will run out of steam up top.

    Agreed, the Rotrex & Vortech are great blowers for the stock motor & you're not gonna see huge gains by lowering the compression & adding a few more psi.

    Ya no room to go any bigger really it seems with that blower as they don't make anything bigger.

    Anyway, you guys have sleeved blocks?
