    Cobb + traction control

    Hello guys!

I found an interesting device, its work is based on the principle of ignition retard, like Vishnu TC.

    How it's work:

Traction controler - the electronic device allowing on monodriving cars equipped with ABS system to realize function traction control.
Mode of functioning of the device is based on engine torque reduction by ignition retard for deduction of driving wheels at the level of a slipping.
Retard of ignition is carried out by substitution of a signal of the IAT sensor and entering into the corresponding chart of correction of ignition from IAT values sufficient for considerable drop of a torque.

Mazda 3 MPS FWD w/o traction control:

Red line is front wheels and blue is rear wheels.

    and with traction control:

Whether it is possible to connect this device to MAP sensor?

Very nice idea with fooling the ECU via the temperature sensor.

Knowing Terry@BMS, you will probably see this implemented in JB4 in a week or two Click here to enlarge

Tomaz! So glad to see the rumors of your demise were unfounded. Thank you very much for letting us all know about the TCU file.

The 1st one looks like a ghetto/plug-in version of the ProEFI TC system.... Senses wheel slip, reduces timing until it achieves the optimal traction & acceleration point. The 2nd one reminds me of the HPF TC system, where it's completely adjustable on a knob from 0-100% intervention (which is dependent on the driver fine tuning the TC setting).

Exactly like the ProEFI TC system (more variables logged in the video)
