The shop sent me over a couple of pics of their TB Adapter on a supercharged Aston Martin Vantage that they tune using only those two injectors and they got up to 550hp.

I mean once it is proven to work and it is controllable then have a shop make a good one built to your specifications. If this fixed the fuel issue on the platform you could sell plenty at a decent price imo...
Whats there to prove? We all know it will work. People are too high and mighty to settle for anything less than a golden spoon. Somebody, go get fitted for christ sakes and let an actual shop do the work and the proving...

That old Jaguar V8 has nowhere near the sophistication of this motor. The proper way to do it is still with replaced injectors as I know I want my fuel distributed evenly especially when supercharging an NA motor with relatively high compression.

Why are we going in circles sticky? Fuel is fuel. Its never been touted as the best option, and at this point, you of all people should understand that we are looking for something thats second best. The best option is full control of the DME with fully upgraded factory fuel system. But we don't have that, this is the ENTIRE purpose of this thread. We are looking for an alternate solution. If we can get more fuel into the chambers of this N54, we are going to be better off. Period. Nobody is saying its the end all be all solution.

Am I just not thinking straight, or is the unequal distribution thing actually not a problem? If the fuel is atomized in the air in the TB, it'll go with the air to whatever cylinder it goes to... so if 1 and 6 get less air flow, they'll get less fuel flow... but actually thats okay because less air is going there anyway?

I'm sure I'm missing something easy.

No. Fuel is known to show signs of intelligence and predict upcoming cylinder runners 1 and 6 and go against the flow of the air and bunch together into a single cylinder or two. Its like people think we are spraying buckets of water down the intake.

Bump. Just know that the people that want to help us out with this are a reputable fabricator. Who can drop by Van Nuys for an hour or two?

You can call it a band aid but it should work fine and is pretty damn simple. This method is used on other cars without issue afaik.

Does anyone have any bad experiences with this method?

Without issue is debatable. Have guysost motirs due to uneven fueling? Yes. Can it work? Yes. Is it the best solution? No. It may be the best temporary solution though.

I don't have a problem with band aids. Just like I eat Coco Astros sometimes when that tiny box of coco pebbles looks like a bad value.

In case you havent noticed, the whole N54 tuning scene is basically one big ass band-aid. Standalone will be the only proper way to do it.

Maybe my comment came off more dramatic than intended, but Yep, really. A piggy-back system is the definition of a band-aid. The flash tunes are great for mild alterations, but do not have near the full control that is required to make big power. We still have no control over many critical parameters, like fuel injectors for example.

If so, do you know the thread size?

This would be a T off the LP line. If you wanted to run a solenoid, you're going to require tuner support. With this, its tuned using an external controller.

I'm glad to see that there has been more discussion about supplemental fueling. It wasn't the same shop, but at least someone is putting it to test.
