@terry - thanks for the info. I didn't know you can code away the seatbelt/airbag lights. That would be nice. When the wife borrows the car, she always asks if its safe to drive with all the lights (uh, yeah, as safe as 600whp RWD cars go). Regarding the smaller battery, you didn't have any issues with it draining too quickly? I used to have the tiny braille in my dedicated track car and it was useless, it always drained to nothing without a trickle charger attached to it.

@bmw335iguy & @terry - you are right ... I did take it to track one time, it was early in the tuning and a miserable showing on my part (i couldn't dial things in). It was "so long" ago, i.e. memory-is-shot-with-new-born-in-the-house, that i forgot about that. Thanks for the refresher on my life. Click here to enlarge

I would be interested in seeing if we can rent a track privately and not have the ET limits enforced. I'm sure we could wrangle a bunch of locals (norcal and social) to get together for this. Thoughts?

I have the 15# braille in the garage and have not used that one in years. It left me stranded once or twice. The 21# is a lot better. The JB4 takes around 4 min to firmware update and it handles that just fine. But I would not sit in the car 10 minutes with the ignition on or try a flash tune fresh install with it.

The minicooper battery was great and almost as good as the factory one, only 15-20# lighter. It's a direct fit too with no special bracket required. IIRC around $170. I used it for 2-3 years and when it started to crap out a couple months ago decided to give the 21# braille a shot. HP Autowerks makes a nice bracket for the braille if you like a clean setup.

Most private track days won't enforce the rules. They have them at Famoso from time to time. The problem is few want to venture more than 100-150 miles away from home in case they break down. Which is easy to do when you're trying to push things.

I have the .db files but I can't post pics. 100-200kph was 5.812s with a -1.73% slope. He needs to address the wheel spin in 3rd by running a smoother road. Definitely costing him some time there.
