    NO FLY ZONE was a very successful event, and I could not have done it without the help of everyone listed below. I hope all participants enjoyed the day. This email is to acknowledge that it could not have been possible without the help of many people, so please take a few minutes and read through my expressions of gratitude towards all staff, workers, sponsors and participants.

    -Omega Motorsport Events Staff-
    First and foremost, I want to extend a heartfelt THANK YOU to all my staff that helped throughout the day. Erica, my wife, thank you very very much. You put up with me, and didn't kill me when I told you I rented an AIRPORT. She was the go-to person at the motor-home, getting everyone registered and checked in, along with Megan, who was also helping out big time with the two lines of people at check-in. Then there were the event staff. You guys were instrumental in the overall running of the event, between trash duty, staging duty, runway duty and general assistance. Our day started early and you guys stuck with it from the setting up of cones, to the picking up of the cones. Start to finish. I could not have made this event function at all, let alone as efficiently as it did. You guys were everything for me at the event, and I hope you realize that! Hope you guys had a little fun, and thank you again. Thank you to each of you again; Austin, Jason L, Jason M, Oscar, Marcel, Brian, Mike, Brady, Megan and ERICA.

    -Event Security- Big thanks to the big guys of the day. Magnum Mauga and Onosai Sotoa were our contracted security for the event. They helped keep a good eye on the expensive equipment out there, backed up our staff when needed, and only had to talk to a couple people. They were also their to converse with the police that showed up (unaware of our days activities). Most importantly for myself, is they kept our staff and those around feeling secure at all times, especially in the beginning when there were so many people at check in. They helped to keep things as orderly as possible and were nothing short of professional at all times. We will be seeing them again for any personal, private or event security!

    -Fire Rescue- I'm sure everyone saw the big rescue vehicle that was onsite. The guys from Advanced Fire and Rescue were with us all day and were a most valuable asset. Thankfully we did not have any rescue type situations, but we knew we had the right guys in case we did. Even still, Matt and his partner were a great help. They gave the area a once-over before we started and gave us the all clear to begin. They brought an ease to everyone's mind having their vehicle on site with full EMT medical gear, vehicle extrication equipment and fire suppression capability including the water tank their truck was equipped with. They also went out onto the event runway anytime we thought there was debris or a spill in the lanes, and checked it out for us. There was one incident of an oil spill (off the runway!) that they went and swept up for us without even being asked. These guys remained professional at all times, and if these two guys are an example of the company as a whole, we will be sure to use their services again. Thanks for helping keep everything safe, guys!

    -Airport- I want to make sure to thank the venue for allowing us to entertain ourselves on their airfield. Jonathan was my contact person throughout the whole planning, and he went out of his way to make sure we had it setup well. He allowed us to scope out the airfield a couple times in planning our event. He made a concession for us to be able to close two of the three active runways so that we had plenty of room for our event. I know there was some aircraft that landed and took off from the active runway during our day, and that made some people nervous. I can assur you however, that the active runway area did not cross our event area at all. And Jonathan made sure to let every bit of air traffic know about it in advance. Ken was our onsite guy for the day, and he helped us with a lot of things during the course of the day. I'm sure it was a bit of a headache, but it was appreciated. Thank you very much Jonathan and the Minter Field staff for putting up with us. I know we had a couple minor hiccups, but thank you again very much.

    -Rodney at Independent Detail- Owner Rodney Bowser and his guys helped in many, many ways. One was the strong promotion of my event to just about everyone one of his clients. You will have seen his display at the airport with a ton of product and many of his clients were in attendance. He helps keep many of the cars, including that F40, near flawless. He was gracious enough to let us put a large event poster at his shop, along with some flyers to help promote locally. This generated a lot of talk between him and clients, and the effort showed by the amount of people that he sent me to register. A couple of which included the yellow F430 and the classic '69 Camaro. He also got me in contact with one of the local food trucks that was out there. Rodney and his staff also helped at the staging lanes and start line, helping keep order and forwarding people to the start lines.     -Sam at Executive Realtors- Sam was one of our lunch sponsors. With having him help sponsor, we were able to keep the costs of having the food trucks and their prices low. Although we had different ideas throughout the process of setting up the event, this ultimately was our best option, and having Sam help as lunch sponsor was a great help and much appreciated. I hope everyone enjoyed the assortment of available food that was out there, that was helped made available due to Sam being a Sponsor and offering that service up for us. Thanks again, Sam.

    -Tec Services- Owner Bob and his guys were out there with some supply of VP Racing fuels. They had 5gallon cans of multiple fuels that they brought in from their shop in Bakersfield. Although that drive is not extremely far, it was great to have them offer that service to our participants, and pull away from their shop for the day to make it available for everyone. A few of the participants had contacted them early to make sure they had a 5gallon can reserved, others purchased on site. They were also able to provide fuel for those that were coming in from out of town. This helped to keep some participants from lugging around a bunch fuel on a long drive. It's nice to have local race fuel available, and even better to have that service offered out to our participants. Big thanks again guys, and I hope it helps you sell more race fuel in the future!!!

    -Premier Equipment Rental- Danny and the guys sponsored equipment and services for our event. It was greatly appreciated to be able to have a local company that was willing to do this for the event. They were the ones responsible for our having the porta potty setups, and all of the delineator cones that were lined up along the staging, start, and finish areas, as well as other cones that outlined parts of the runway. We were able to pick up and trailer all of the cones from them, and they actually arranged to have the porta pottys dropped off at the airfield for us. They went above and beyond what I could have expected when I first contacted them, and I will be ensuring we continue a good relationship for future events. The possibilities could be endless with their help!

    -Swanson Photography- Steven was our exclusive event photographer for the event. He had access to areas and vehicles that no one else did. This included early morning shots, interior shots, engine shots and even passenger shots with some of the cars rolling down the runway. He was also the one that shot the photos at the airport for our flyer. He has been taking pictures at our local Cars and Coffee and has a real passion for all things automotive. This helps show through in the pictures he takes and the effort he makes. We hope to see many more pictures from him soon. We had tried to arrange having him in the air also for some aerial photos, but that wasn't able to pan out this time. There's always next time, and he is definitely eager to get any shot he can. Getting him more exposure and having him shoot more events will work in everyone's favor. Thanks for the shots, Steven!

    -German Dreams- Owner George is a big part of Omega and its events. This event was no different in how he went out of his way to help. He let us put a big poster at his shop also, along with flyers. Being a mainstay in the local automotive community, he helped to spread the word to just about everyone that came through the shop. He got some great people to sign up. He was able to help many local people get ready for the event, between overall tech inspections, to getting some fresh turbos put into a car very last minute. I know many of the local guys, especially Euro cars, will be utilizing him from now on. The shop is also the only place I take my Porsche Turbo. The guys do a great job at keeping my car on the road, seeing as how hard I beat on it daily. Case and point, they will be taking a look at it in the morning to see what my current issues are. Possible turbo or pulley issue, along with a front differential issue. These front diffs don't much like power above 600hp/tq or so, and I think mine has had enough. The guys are great and will continue to be an integral part of the tuning, building and/or upkeep ofmy car, and my events in the future. Thanks a ton guys!

    -------------------------ALL OF OUR PARTICIPANTS-------------------------
    This event was for you guys. Car enthusiasts that want to get out and put their foot down, and enjoy the machinery they own and that of others around them. I hope you all sincerely enjoyed it. Everyone seemed to be having a good time throughout the day for the most part. There were some concerns and minor issues along the way, but for the most part I think it was a great success. Some were sidelined early (even before their car hit the strip) and some made it all day. The most passes I have been made aware of yet is 21 (twenty-one) and that was in the beastly 1000 HP GTR. There are ways to make everything better, and I will strive for that in coming events. Many of you guys I met in person at the event and I appreciate your words of gratitude, appreciation and the positive, constructive criticism. I hope you guys will enjoy any coming events we have. Hoping to do another circuit track day, possibly Buttonwillow or even Laguna Seca. Keep in touch, keep an eye on our facebook and the forums and send any feedback of this event.     That was the ESS-VT2 625 kit (Stage 2 = Intercooled with Stock Internals). There are only 3 ESS Stage 3 cars: IMG (Izzy, most powerful customer VT3 6MT in CT), DLSJ5 (Drew, in CA with DCT) and soon M33 (Zim, DCT in CT, friend of Izzy's). It's been beat to death, but the VT3 is a waste of money. Low-compression build & you only get another ~75-100 WHP. ESS only uses the Vortech V3Si, where at least Gintani swaps out blowers (Vortech T-Trim & the YSI) for some real HP gains over the stock CR kits.

    My C also has a pump gas tune and stock internals. my car will be out there a few more weeks, maybe we can set something up if you get a stage 3 installed or find a stage 3 car for me to race.

    That supercharged C63 was pretty quick. I think they said it went 11.1@130 at Famaso on 91 octane? I did 11.1@129 at Famoso but had to run meth + E85 fuel to get there. On 91 alone I'd be lucky to hit 125mph.

    ESS Stage 3 (VT3 725-775) is their built motor kit:
    • Compression Lowered to 10:1
    • Forged Pistons & Rods
    • ESS Fueling System
    • OEM Alusil block untouched (no sleeves)
    • Vortech V3Si Supercharger 12psi for DCT; 14 psi for 6MT


    Like I said, even if you're a 6MT like Izzy (img) you're only getting another 75 WHP from a lowered compression & increased boost over the VT2-650 kit (stock motor/CR).

    Like I said, even if you're a 6MT like Izzy (img) you're only getting another 75 WHP from a lowered compression & increased boost over the VT2-650 kit (stock motor/CR).
    You could probably get close to the same gain on the stock internals with C16...

    I see more salesman there as well.

    The stock software won't adjust timing as well as a proper dyno tune for the proper fuel especially when blown.

    He's talking about compression ratio as the be all end all but saying nothing about cylinder pressure or EGT's. I mean, Weistec keeps the compression stock on their built motor setups. Something to think about.

    I still would bet one could get just about even with their built motor setups on the stock internals with an aggressive tune, C16 or E85, and more boost. Regardless, if you want to go past a certain point lack of sleeves is going to cause problems. So, really, mild boost only.
