Car was on dyno, dyno giving speed errors. I was in the pit changing optical sensors and $#@!, trying to figure out the problem. Trust me not happy, going back tomorrow at 9 am. They say its fixed.

Thanks for the update. I was starting to wonder. Good luck tomorrow.

Also I saw that you were working on the N55 upgrade. I appreciate it. Us N55 guys don't get much love.

HAHAHA. Its a 2000 HP and 200 MPH dyno. We def didn't break it. The guy was like I have never seen these errors before, got on the phone with DJ tech support. They said it sounded like a dirty optical sensor. Guy was in a motorcycle wreck a month ago so he couldn't do any of the work. I took the dyno apart and climbed down into the pit with the black widows and pulled the sensor cleaned it, and put it back. We ran it, no more errors. We got numbers, good numbers, but the graphs were not displaying properly. Called DJ tech support again they said dyno would still read HP and TQ correctly but bad / weird graphs can still be caused by a dirty or bad optical sensor. Soooo he has another optical sensor, were going to try it tomorrow. Nothing is ever simple I swear.

Would almost be easier to pick a different dyno, or is this where the baseline is?

No baseline, it was a stock 335i FBO. Take your pick of baselines. We are using this dyno because its a good buddies shop and we have never had problems with it in the past. If we have to move to another one, we will.

He was there at the first one and took plenty of videos. I have learned much too much over the past few months about these forums to post numbers with graphs from a dyno with malfunctioning optical sensor no matter how good they were and no matter that DJ says it 100% will not effect the readings themselves just the graphs. We will post when the graphs are working properly, if that requires a different dyno, so be it.

I think a lot of people may be hoping for unrealistic numbers. Assuming Straight pump 91/93 no meth, what do you guys think we'll see here with stg3? Think it may be good to establish a realistic number for this setup before people outcry but Vishnu single does xyz and lose focus on an apples for apples, pump for pump comparison, as I don't believe there are any pump only Vishnu single numbers.

The single did 550whp? My uneducated guess is about the same. The twin set up flows about the same air as the single doesnt it?

It cant be high. Those things are monstors compared to stockers and RBs. The backpress has to be way down allowing for much cooler conditions at 6k rpms.

I think the single and the stg 3 twins are just going to be loafing along not even trying on pump gas since they'll be limited to 16-19psi. I think the power will be similar if the tuning is similar (which it's not, but probably close). So it's fair to say it's probably within 30rwhp of the single #'s on pump gas plus or minus.

the important discerner here will be spool time/threshold Click here to enlarge

peak boost may be the same, low-midrange will be the kicker.

I expect the twins to hit full boost around the same rpm as a single of similar flow capability. Better would just be icing on the cake.
