    Vs. what? An S38?

I think the S54 is the best BMW 6 cylinder and arguably their best motor in CSL trim.

The S38 is up there as well along with the S85. I would argue for the S85 vs. the S38 but both deserve respect and no one has yet to take the S85 to the next level. With boost, it would be the king of BMW motors.

I would use another platform for theses speeds. Also,as much as I love and respect E30s,it lack

Well the S38 in NA form is a great mate for the E30 chassis.

Not everything has to be turbo'd and putting out stupid HP that is pointless to use in corners.

If I were to build an E9 the S38 would be the motor of choice unless I could somehow get an S85 in there.

S38 all the way just think of what vs motors has done with it. All i can say is some one in america needs to do what SW did with his supra but do it with a M car and a s38

I agree but the E30 isn't really the chassis to do that with. I'm not sure what is.
