nope, in fact i could have done better.
The italy trip is only 265 km.
The resting initial 60 km where stop an go in munich the day before.
Then on the german highway a had some fun with an aston martin for about 30 km accelerating various times from 100 to 200 km/h (he never pulled away :-D).
4 passengers, and the trunk full of bagage (no visibility through the rear window).
In italy fun with a golf gti...
265 tires on the back 245 on the front and by far no eco tires for low consuption. (federal RSR tires)

the highway through Austria makes the difference. The limit there is 130 km/h and a lot of radar station. You have to drive what they want you to drive there or you get the tickts sent via letter the weeks after the trip.

    Impressive.
I installed a Wagner FMIC in October 2011, but never ever bothered to measure any fuel consumption benefits from it.
In fact, come to think of it, I think it didn't make any difference at all.
The biggest gain in fuel consumption I got was from the Alpina B3 gearbox flash.
went from 1:8,1 to 1:8,9 l/km with that.
But then for normal DD driving I spend a lot of time driving in the city.

the biggest gain comes from the dpf removal for sure, not from the wagner IC.

the final result after coming back to germany and making the last 240 km in munich (work <-> home) so stop and go again was about 890 km and i got about 60l of fuel into the tank (63 l should be the 335d capacity).
Very respectable for such a powerfull car in my opinion.
