    FS/FT Built EVO 8 600+ HP

    OK, so I traded my 335i for this EVO and cash back in NOV. It's pretty much been in the shop being built ever since. Below are the current mods. Car has over $27k in mods. It is currently being tuned by English Racing and will end up around 515-525 AWHP. The car was backed into in Hooters parking lot today and will be repaired by my insurance company in the upcoming weeks. I have just lost interest in this build and regret ever selling my 335i. My loss is your gain. I'd be willing to trade for pretty much any N54 that books for ~$25k, CPO preferred.

    I should be driving around an e92 RB Turbo car right now.

    I was obsessed with making a 10 second 1/4mi pass when I got the EVO. I have completely lost interest in drag racing and just want my luxury and comfort back.

    well makes sense. Being half a second slower and having a lot of luxuries and still being a bmw is what keeps me in mine versus other things.

    This should be a fun track car (read: not drag). What the low/mid powerband like on these cars? Is it more eager than an FBO 335i?

    Not the way it's setup right now. It has a rather large turbo on it that hits full spool around 4400 RPM. If you were to put a stock frame turbo on it such as an FP Green, it would see full spool around 3k RPM and be a much better track car. You could easily sell the 35r kit on it and make more than enough money to grab a DBB FP Green and hot parts. The turbo currently on the car sells for $2199 new.

    It does handle 100 times better than any 135i or 335i. It is the best handling car I've ever driven, right up there with the e92 M3 I test drove last summer. Granted I didn't get to beat on the M3 but I'm not sure it could take the corners I've taken in the EVO at 100MPH.

    Just saw this. You sure didn't keep the evo for long. I can understand the move if you no longer drag race. Although Evos are beasts on road courses too with a properly sized turbo. Glws!

    PRICE DROP! Blew a head gasket Fri night. It's not bad, there's no oil in the coolant and no coolant in the oil. Just hard to start and puffing white smoke. It'll be going to the shop today or tomorrow to get fixed.

    They're known to be garage queens when they're 500AWHP or more. Gotta think, this is a 2.0L with 289bhp stock. Prob increased HP over 100% over stock am now at 129HP/cylinder. Gonna have some issues I guess. This was really my fault. Car had a leak in the turbo coolant line and I didn't know it. It was evaporating not dropping car ran out of coolant while I was street racing Click here to enlarge bye bye head gasket. It overheated super fast. I was mid pull.

    I don't think any of the 900-1000HP guys daily drive their EVOs. I highly doubt they're dependable.

    Talked to my shop today. head was warped but fixable. It'll be out the shop friday. I'm not driving it again before it's sold.
