a GTR is a sleeping giant until it has the Cobb AP pro tune; then it's lights out, you can do whatever you wish to the m6 at that point...

Yea this video is nonsense.. Doesn't add up unless the GTR is broken or starting in 4th gear.

Because the M6 runs the 1/4 a second slower and with lower trap speed. The awd wouldn't make up that difference. Imo would have been more believable if the m6 would have pulled alittle ahead but to gap the gtr by multiple car lengths says to me probably a mistake by the gtr.

This is the problem with youtube videos. Apparantly this video is misinforming. The GTR owner posted in the comments about 2 other videos that weren't posted as well as the M6 having filters and something else done. Do I think that they are both fast. Yes. However, at the same time this video is to be taken with a grain of salt like with the F10 M5 videos M5board.com was posting.

Because Godzilla is a Legend, and no way a M6 pulls on a GT-R like it did.

I am gonna call BS on this one as well... Nothing adds up. Especially considering the M6 runs away low end where the GTR gearing should be handing its ass a new one.

Not necessarily. The 4.4 makes more torque at a much lower rpm.

More power more torque across the entire RPM range on the M6. Why would the GTR "need" to win or not lose in a roll on to the new M6?

M6 is 200kg heavier (450lbs) so add roughly about 40hp differential to the GT-R.

Its well known fact how underrated the 4.4L V8 TT in the M5/M6 is putting down 500whp on a dynojet

M6 puts down 500lb-ft of torque from 1500-6500rpm (underrated).
GTR puts down 463lb-ft of torque from 3500-6000rpm.

I think this is quite possible..

the gtr can trap as much as 8mph more than the m6, NO SHOT this is real! a car cant be out trapped by 5-8mph then pull bus lenths from such a slow roll. its not like they went to 180mph

i get so angry when these you tube vids show things that just cant happen, i mean if this was a case where someone gets a hit, or someone spins bad, or someone gets caught sleeping at the light we all know a slower car can win, but this is not the case here, it looks like the m6 is the faster trapping car by 10mph!! oh and its not like you can out shift the gtr. IT MUST BE FAKE OR DRIVER ERROR. OR modded/damaged car

Guys. Chill. I got this figured out.

The obvious answer is that the BMW covert marketing division has put out the first of several videos showing the new M cars' sweet street performance. As we all know well, the M5 and M6's target demographics are the "highway pull" and "dig from a stoplight" crowd that regularly sweeps youtube for the latest and greatest in underground racing videos. The only way that BMW will turn a profit on these new M-cars is to win this market from the get go. If even one video shows an S63 car losing, their sales will be a bust and BMW will be forced to discontinue all cars except the base model 3 series. In summary, BMW is going to blanket youtube with videos of high performance cars losing to F1x M series cars to boost sales.

There is no possible way that undisclosed modifications, driver mods, or intentional dishonesty have anything to do with the absurd number of car lengths (sorry, bus lengths) that the M6 put on a newer GTR.

11.0@124 bone stock .... DA of 1117.... they gotta dyno more than 430....

the m6 is a 119-120 car , given disparitys between cars it could be a 1-3 car difference either way but nothing like that...

Click here to enlarge I don't think he posted in the thread about sunglasses, but I thought it was funny that he pulled out the old Bluetooth and sunglasses stereotype on the BMW guys when their board has their own thread about it.
