    Tool32 DME fault codes list MSD80

    I was checking out Tool32 trying to configure it to English for both INPA and Tool32, and finally got it working! Also I was able to use Tool32 to get all the DME fault codes in English also. I looked at the Sticky thread and its not the complete listing! Hopefully this list will make it to the top.



    Here is the complete DME fault codes for MSD80.prg with English translated straight from Tool32 software... Hopefully this can help anyone diagnose their fault codes and fix their cars..There are probably alot of codes floating out there with no mention in seaches via the web...

    You have to mess with the Inpa.ini files and also the ediabas ECU files needs to be dug up from older versions...Newer MSD80.prg are only in German. I had to back track from tons of ECU files to find the older versions of the MSD80 program files which I had to do trial and error to get it to finally work... That was a $#@!.

    ...as a side note, I think we need to move away from INPA and start exploring the more recent software that BMW is using. INPA is previous generation stuff.

    Well compared to your sticky and the codes that were compiled, this one trumps it with all the codes. I would consider it but its ultimately up to you sire on what you want to do!

    Vasillov. You must be having a bad day as your not reading what's in front of you. This info if the dme codes is not from INPA as the software will not generate the full error list. It's from Tool32 which the F-series utilizes too. If your referring to Ista-D and P, I have those too but it's a PITA to work with. The info I posted pertains to N54 and therefore those of us that use this platform, INPA is still relevant and such.

    I have DIS 57 with V44 for the programming. It has the same functionality as the other tools used on this platform like Inpa, Ncsexpert, Tool32, and Winkfp, only difference is that it takes forever to load and its slow as hell, but its more user friendly. Although it is more user friendly, it by far my least software that i would use to accomplish the same goals. Its not the best software to use out of all the softwares that are available for the N54.

    I however got a 16C1 code yesterday, along with a 2D59 while testing some new maps and I don't see that in there. There was no explanation on the COBB AP about that code either. Fault is reset and gone and has not come back since, but I am still curious as to what it meant. Don't think it's very common either, but apparently it exists Click here to enlarge

    Yeah Dzenno and I spend all day Saturday working on the 2D59 so to speak.... But like you, I have no idea about the other one, and it wasn't in the list either.

    Hmm I wonder if its another module code and not a DME code...I pulled all the codes listed in first post from MSD.prg. I would be the other one 16C1 is withing another module..

    That's very likely. I've googled it and found some mention of it in other BMWs, but haven't been able to identify it yet.
