    E30 with LS1 Swap

Someone from Seattle apparently decided to go nuts:

I love the LS1, but do not believe it belongs anywhere near a BMW. Interesting, cool, but no longer a BMW.

Heh, well it is interesting and not cost prohibitive.

I'm honestly considering throwing an LS7 into a BMW of some sort now.

First generation Camaros is one of the most popular LS1 swaps. There is a growing interest for LS1 engines. Complete LS1 instllation packages are also available.

I friggin love the lsX swap into a BMW chasis. The redneck in me loves the sound of a built V8, just not into rolling a heavy chevy. So, this is the best of both worlds. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RVZ0duq5Bh8 How can you not love this sound?? Actually have an e36 M3 chasis sitting at my shop which will hopefully see this conversion at some point.

That would be awesome! I have to think about what BMW chassis I would like to do this with. An E30? I don't know..

I find it tougher to swallow in an E46 M# considering how awesome the S54 is.

I sure do love swaps, especially with an LS1. I don't think a LS7 would fit in an e30 chassis without major modifications. That LS1 is pretty stuffed in there.

    That's sweet.

I foresee major traction issues but that's not always a bad thing Click here to enlarge

    First Post!

So, my first post on this forum is about the LS1 engine that I love! I had a ‘02 SS with Vortech Super Charger, heads, cams, and other crazy $#@! which gave me over 600 rwhp. Although my old SS was much faster in a straight line compared to my M, the M is much more enjoyable to drive!

Also good to see Benvo on this forum without him been flamed or censored!

I have a 09 E92 DCT M3 with the following upgrades: Fabspeed x-pipe and HFCs, RD Sport exhaust, AA pulley and Powerchip custom tune (custom tuned by Jeremy who was supposedly “way over his head”!?). According to PG and ESS my engine should have fallen out by now, but I can report it is running just fine Click here to enlarge
