    Talking VFF700 ST Build with pictures

    Well I had originally planned on installing the kit two weekends ago. Unfortunately, it arrived sans an intercooler pipe, so the install was pushed into this past weekend. I will let the pictures do most of the talking, but if you have any questions let me know. As it stands now I am just waiting on my DME, a couple feet of the small meth tubing, and a few wiring odds & ends for the meth kit to start her up. Hoping for Thursday Click here to enlarge

    Also I am not installing the Spec 2+ clutch, Steel FW, Quafie, DSS axles, and diff. lockdown kit until March.

    Well if it can't hold up to WOT then I shouldn't have an issue babying it. Also it won't be making any more torque than RB's.

    How old is your DMFW? You might get misfire at 6500 like I was. Although, the other guy (who's car was a lot newer than mine) doesn't get the misfire all the time.

    60k miles. Did you try dynoing it? I was hoping the misfire issues would only be under load and not so much on a dyno. Regardless I guess we will see. I can get on the dyno for around $70 so depending on how it feels on the streets I might just bite the bullet and risk it. Although the clutch goes sometime from March 2-9 so depending on my schedule & the dynos it might be after that anyways.

    It will do it on the dyno. The other guy (whose car doesn't always misfire on the road) dyno'd his while he was here in Orlando and his car misfired everytime on the dyno. That was the first time we really verified that his car would do it too. If it was me, I'd save your money and wait til you install the SMFW and clutch.

    For anyone considering doing this and wondering on a time frame... Thursday I dropped the subframe and removed the waterpump. Friday I removed the stock turbos. Saturday I installed the new turbo downpipe and waterpump. Sunday I put it all back together and tapped the stock intercooler.

    Haha yeah I hope to have myself a nice garage with a lift at some point... but until then it will be a floor-jack, some bricks, and ingenuity.
