Wide Body N54 getting stage 2

Michael Lewis dropped off his bad ass 2010 3351 sedan at our installation shop on Sunday for the stage 2 upgrade, he is one of our beta testers and will be tuning using a custom GIAC tune. Needless to say this car is badass and customers that come and go oogle over it everytime. Its widened in the rear and I believe the front and is sporting some serious meat under there. The exhaust is straight through and is LOUD! How loud you ask, we were moving things around in the yard and we pulled it out into the street to make room and a cop driving by pulled me over and started crawling around under it taking tire tread depth and all this BS, after asking "hey why is this thing so loud" Needless to say after telling about the "street racing classes" he just finished he decided to write us a fix it ticket for the AFE intake and no front plate. Talk about a DOUCHEBAG! The exhaust WILL get your attention. Before he brought it to us he got it dyno'd, check the numbers below. As soon as we get stage 2 ready and installed GIAC will be doing their magic on it. Looking forward to it. Mike was one hell of a nice guy and we are glad we can work on his car for him.

Reminding me about my tire rub. Click here to enlarge I basically have 285mm tires on an E92 (with VS8s which already are low offset). I think I can get the rub out without flaring though. Glad to see some more quick 335is around here. I haven't met any yet.

nice to see GIAC getting in on this. I know they tend to be over looked given the market of jb4, proceed, and cobb (+PTF)

    Can't wait to see results!

I would do it if I could figure out how to fit a 285 up front on an E92.

Lucky SOBs. I'm rocking 255s on the rear of my e82 and that required trimming.

You mean fender rolling? I was running 275 PSS with Vs8, that required a little work. I switched to AD08s now through. They are literally half an inch wider (really like a 285 imho). I will need to eliminate the entire inner lip and get deep into the bumper connection. I can hook second when warmed up now though. If the front fenders were metal I'd go for broke and flare to fit 305s out back.

How do you like ad08's?? Im thinking of doing a 245/275 setup on my c63 coupe when my forgestars come in. Seem like great tires and get good reviews i was thinking between these and the nt05's and wanted some real world feedback ... How is the handling? and the straightline grip once warmed up

Better than PSS, particularly the sidewalls. You can use less pressure to get better steering feel and less mush. Its definitely a better performing tire. If I start at 3k in 2nd I cant get them to spin. The PSS I could. At only 180 wear though, they might go fast and they cost just as much for an incremental gain in performance. You could not tell me the tire and I could know in one curve though - it is noticeable. That being said, be ready for the tire to be 1/2" wider than a PSS or DWS despite having the same size.

If you can get an 11" wide wheel with offset around 48 and run your car at a height that's not "slammed" you might be able to pull off a 305 in the back with some tweaking (depending on the tire brand).
