I ran it on my car for about 16-18k miles without issues. Swapped it out for a clutch that could handle more then it. I know of about 10-15 other forum members that have run it on bimmer forums who haven't had issues with it. If you get it with the flywheel which I did just make sure the flywheel is balanced or have it checked to be balanced. Mine was perfect, and I'm still running the flywheel from the kit. The stock flywheels end up having issues with the springs inside over time.

Wow okay. That's awesome feedback. Thank you very much. Call me novice but what is the driving like? I know its much different but I've never driven a vehicle with a heavy duty clutch like this.
Thank you very much for the advice.

and another question. i am really considering going to a top mount manifold. it has to be a t3 flange, i am having issues finding one. does anyone have suggestions?

i have a few questions considering i have never even re built a motor in my life. sure you guys are probably laughing. hehe

    1. are oem bearings okay for a forced induction motor or should i go more expensive with vac or something?

    2. i have been doing research and a lot of people are saying that the f1 stage 4 clutch kit off of ebay is actually pretty good? anybody here ever used or have any experience with this clutch? Driveability? gear chatter with lighter flywheel?

    3. i dont want to run the charge pipe underneath the car. so i have seen some people rout it basically right underneath the manifold alongside the block, is this an acceptable way or does it get too hot?

    3. any other questions or comments you guys have feel free. im gonna figure out how to put some pics up. my computer skills are limited. hah

and i am building on a budget but i want to do it right.

Its pretty much impossible to get 1 in t3 without getting it done custom, and sending 1500. Get a obx top mount.

Many have made great power with them. You could always go with a bottom mount spa t3 manifold.

ya im not sure if i wanna go bottom mount tho its still a toss up. could i ask you what you would do? pros cons? i like having the turbo accessible and oil return would be better i believe

Depends on if you want A/C in the car its easier to do a bottom mount spa manifold. If you don't care about A/C then go top mount OBX, and don't look back. I like the spa manifold. It flows pretty good.

hey guys i am going to a top mount turbo set up. just heard today that tapping into the timing chain cover is legit? i dont see anything wrong with it, but i dont have much experience in this. would this be a bad idea? the length would be shortened dramatically from the oil pan....
    thanks
    Marcus
